Whenever I think of a part of a tv show, later in the day that exact episode will come on. This has happened about 50 times in my life. This also works sometimes with songs on the radio.
That happens to me all the time.
Surely there's a scientific explanation.
there actually is, there even is a scientific term for it. i just have forgotten what it is^^

here's the quick rundown: lets say you think of episode 42 of show x. later that day you turn on the tv, and what episode is on?! 23. nothing special and most likely you will never think about it again, forget that you thought about the episode and that was that.
however, when episode 42 would have been on, you would have thought: "duuuuude, how weird is this?" and remember the freak occurance for years.
so the times when you guess the right episode are in the normal statistical margin. it just seems incredible because you only remember the right "guesses" and therefore grossely misjudge the hit quota. god i wish i remember what the scientific term for that was, there surely must be a wikipedia-article about it..
What if it happens 6 songs in a row on the radio when I'm in the car. Most the time it happens every once in a while, but once it seriously happened at least six times in a row. As one song finished, another popped in my head and that was the next song.
6 songs in a row is fairly impressive. However, the music industry has been paying the radio stations for YEARS to play songs X amount of time per day. So your average hipster will hear it and think, oh this song is on alot, it MUST be good, without actually critisizing the music itself. But my point is that, there is a definate pattern to the songs that are played on any particular radio station. If you listen to a station for a week, you will likely have a hunch as to what songs they might play in the following week, short of a new release. But as to the fact that no one really knows the exact order other than the DJ, being able to guess which ones is impressive, however it is more like counting cards than "magic".

Speaking of "magic" it reminds me of another quote.

"Signifigantly advanced technology is indestenguishable from magic." Such as, if you somehow had a time machine and went back to prehistoric times with a standard cigarette lighter, and you met the locals and then flicked your Bic a few times, you would instantly be haroled as a wizard."

EDIT --- I don't know why my edit created another post but meh... sorry?

Which brings up an intersting concept about the idea that prehistoric man would have viewed aliens per say with their superior technology and spacetraveling ships, as "gods".

Maybe I should add some more info then. I don't know where you live, but if you live in midwest United States than you may get the station "KKRQ The Fox" (not related to fox news). It's a classic rock station and every day, seriously, every day, is a "no repeat day". I listen to it every night when I go to bed, it's always different.

OT: Something else I can do that I haven't seen on here yet. Can't believe I forgot to mention this.

I can partially control blood-flow through my body. It's kind of like when you think about breathing, then you can manually control your breathing. The difference is that it takes at least moderate focus, so it's hard to do while multitasking.

Basically, if I get hit hard or get something smashed, for most people that area would swell up, but I can mentally constrict the blood vessels in said area and therefore stop swelling. I can also relax and open blood vessels say, in my brain, and cause more blood to flow there, which results in better thinking in the case of the brain.

I can dislocate my thumbs, pinkies and my pinky toes XD but many can do that.
I can vibrate and move eyes separately - that is common too...
but that is all provable and common.
for long time I believed I can see the story of an object by touching it, but I disapproved that one to myself :)
so I am not special :p
One failed guess doesn't mean you don't have intuition, as we are human, no one is always right everytime. And people often second guess themselves, giving the other answer they intended to give instead of the first one that popped into their head. But personally, an ex of mine had this ring that she claimed her "Wiken Witch" Aunt had given to her. I put it on per her request once, and I swear to God that it gave an energy pulse, but it felt like dark energy, and I instantly removed the ring. Never touching or questioning it's origin again.
:p well, true, I guess.
And talking about the ring - I've had a bunch of meaningful rings in my life. And two were such a wicked things. I got them from my grand-grandmothers and I felt sick when I put them on and just odd in general. I got rid of one in fear (:) I have lots of luck rings though that I always wear as talismans. But that's just me being superstitious :)

I can't do anything. I have a friend who can vibrate his eyeballs though.
I also have a friend who can vibrate her eyeballs; also, I used to be able to dislocate my thumbs when I was about 4 of 5, but I can't anymore. Oh well.

Could you clarify on that please? What you said could be taken to be quite offensive. It's definitely got my back up and the only thing that's stopping me from hitting the report button is that you may actually mean something else and aren't being intentionally offensive.

I think I could if I tried, I've got great balance.
Problem is I live in a small town where there's nowhere to buy one and I've never thought about it when in the nearby city.

OT: I can solve a Rubik's Cube in under one minute :D

Interesting. Yeah, before that incident with the ring, I was HIGHLY skeptical of things like that. Although after it I was a bit more aware if you will. I suppose you don't know what HOT is until you press you hands on a stove, but after the experience, you can verify when you come across HOT again XD

But, that is part of what brought me to the curiosity of Tachyon energy. I was like ... YEAH right.. that sounds .. possible.. however after my experience with them, I am like...wow .. how does the world NOT know about this? But I realised that most people have pre-conceived ideas about how the world is, in where we come from, and where we go. And so because of this, anything that is outside of that realm of thinking is "impossible", but after some random odd things I have experienced in my life, I can say, that there might be anything out there. If you don't try to find it, how can you know? The problem is also that when people are exposed with the unknown, they respond in fear, and thus close off any further exploration. Although now thinking about that, that is kind of what happened with that ring experience, short of me experimenting with Tachyon cells years later.

EDIT - Fear leads to hate, hate leads to anger, anger leads to the dark side...

I'm never angry.
At least, not that I can remember. I take everything lightly and behave in an overly calm manner. Friends are amazed as to how I can keep my cool in any situation.

There just hasn't been anything in my life so far that has been severe enough to anger me.

I can project venom! D=
Ok it's not venom, and it was something kinda gross I learned I could do in grade 9.

If I suppress my saliva glands with my tongue I can spray saliva like
this snake.

Just with zero actual purpose.

I was also born without a codec on common human behavior installed like the rest of the species.

That's actually possible? I've never heard of anyone with a memory like that. But I guess when it happens to you, you should know it's possible...

Interesting. I'll have to do some reading on genetic memory and see what I can find.
It's a strong trait in my family. Although we don't actively remember memories or experiences... very often one of my family members will be doing something for the first time and know exactly what to do.
I remember as a child my mother was putting pictures into picture frames and she suddenly knew to cover the back of the frames with paper and spray a little water on the paper.
Seems that's an old trick that tightens the paper on the back so it stays tight and doesnt wrinkle. and I mean that's an OLD trick.
If you want "proof" of genetic memory, just look at how much more proficient children are becoming with technology and increasingly younger ages...

The report button for that? Seriously? I mean, i'm sure if you're offended by that then you're going to be offended by me saying something about it but I think the guy was just joking. lol. I thought it was rather humorous... but I guess society doesn't base itself off of the -least- sensitive people but the -most- sensitive people.
And yes, most of these things can actually be explained by mild forms of autism.

sorta . It's quite Difficult
I think I can do that, well, I'm trying.

As for anything else, um nostril flaring and tongue rolling (I can't make a clover or anything though), but I never thought those where all that special. I can put my foot behind my head, I think I can do both. My little brother can do that too, so it might be genetic or it's just because we both fold our legs a lot when we sit. Oh, and the future/dream thing, I kind of think everyone can do that to an extent.

I can hear electricty I guess. If I walk into a room and anything is on standby, or even just switched on at the plug I can hear it. Is that strange? Im not sure.
It depends. How old are you? (Not trying to be creepy. Teenagers and children can generally hear at much higher frequencies than adults.)I can do this too, btw.

OT: Hmmm, I can sing the alphabet song backwards. Like, the words and everything.
I know I have other stuff, but I don't really want to think right now. Possibly edit for more in morning.
