Race: Hobgoblin. Hobgoblins are a tribal society which was formerly rather peaceful and has a religion based upon the worship of stars. Hobgoblins have jagged teeth, extremely sharp claws, pointed ears, small body frames yet strong muscles, dark skin with a sandpaper-like skin and beady white eyes. They often walk hunched over, although some walk straight, and possess a strong sense of sight but poor feeling. The region of space they occupy, also shared with other goblinoid and orcish races, is sometimes known as the Toilet of Space due to how often it gets shitted into. Almost every empire big of small has at some point carved its way through this sector, and currently it lies between the Aulnira and Culyar borders. Due to the millenniums of warfare, the native Hobgoblins have grown to be a rather vicious and warrior-centric culture. Although unable to form a strong united empire themselves, the Hobgoblins have proven to be ferocious and fearless warriors whenever enemy factions sought to conquer them. Able to disembowel a man with their claws and shoot well with a gun, they have become feared foes and valued mercenaries by races who have faced them.
Equipment: Short rifle with a sword bayonet, meteor shard
Skills: Close Combat ? Being a Hobgoblin, Kadabai is naturally a nasty melee warrior. Even without a weapon he can slash skin or bone alike apart with his claws and is eager to do so. Star Magic ? Kadabai is a warlock, a Hobgoblin able to draw magic energy from the stars themselves. Most of his abilities focus around utilizing heat and energy, but he can only use them if the light of stars or a moon are upon him. Astrology ? Their faith being based upon the stars themselves, many Hobgoblins have some knowledge of Astrology. Being a warlock, Kadabai spent much time learning about it.
Position on the ship: General fighter
Rank: Crew
Appearance: Looks like a typical Hobgoblin, although he prefers to walk upright and his skin has a reddish tint. He stands at 5ft 5inches, has loose black hair and a distinctive sun marking burned onto his forehead. He often wears a short, black robe with yellow tints when relaxing, but when heading off to combat he?ll don flak armour.
Personality: Contrary to his feral appearance and race?s reputation, Kabadai is a rather friendly and well-meaning person. He likes to be helpful and socialize with others even if they are of a different race, and becomes protective and loyal to those he befriends. However in a fight he will often off as being brutal or overly-violent, but this comes from the Hobgoblin warrior culture rather than malice or bloodlust. He tends to be more open-minded than the rest of his race. He also possesses strong feelings when it comes to the freedom and rights of a being, and has a disliking towards to both the Aulnira and Culyar.
History: Born to a family of hunters on one of the several Hobgoblin worlds, Kabadai grew up in a semi-nomadic, warrior-influenced lifestyle like all other Hobgoblins. His clan traveled around the sector doing mercenary work or looking for good temporary settling land. One day however, some forces of the Aulnira got into a dispute with his clan which eventually escalated into a fight. The Aulnira were defeated but returned with a larger force. During their raid on the Hobgoblin settlement, the stars were shining brightly and Kabadai was confronted by an orc serf. In a moment of panic the boy suddenly unleashed a blast of scorching heat which burn the serf to a crisp. After the battle the rest of the clan realized that he was a Warlock, believed in Hobgoblin culture to be a chosen of the stars. He was immediately sent off to one of the older, major Hobgoblin worlds where he would have access to much knowledge. Kadabai studied for many years about astrology and the universe, and would occasionally go on raids with some of the local mercenary groups. He was distraught to find out one day that his old clan had been mostly wiped out by the Aulnira forces they had been fighting for some years now. Soon as he grew into a man he was told to leave and roam to the sea of space, so he could experience the universem learn more of the stars and eventually return to become a wise sage for his people. Kadabai was very eager to leave. Not just because he would get to travel and fight across the universe all on his own but because some of the local clans were talking about joining the Culyar; an idea he finds not appealing.
still no word back. Think you accidently skipped my sheet.willofbob said:Name: Erik Von Grasasmir
Gender: male
Age: 48
Race: Hazeman, formerly goblin (race I made up for ahort story a while back. Basically, they're what happens when magic starts eating a human, dwarf or goblin from the inside out. usually ashen skin, eyes that glow, retracted lips, very thin, claw-like feet and hands and skin looks stretched out. apart from that, they can be expected to have the characteristics of whatever sentient race they come from, plus a few mutations. Naturally skilled mages, but not that much more advanced than other races. Lifespan depends on how much magic they use and how close they stay to civilisation, the latter also effecting their magic skills.)
Equipment: a short sceptre (think a cane with a bejeweled head), a sabre and a pistola
Skills: Magic (Cryomancy in particular)
Magitek Engineering
Underhanded tactics
Position on the ship: To oversee the engine operations
Rank: Second Mate
Appearance: pale skin with long teeth. Eyes are purple, messy hair pushed back, ungroomed Victorian goatee, pointed nose and left thumb the length of index finger. He wears black boots (custom fit) and green pantaloons with a jacket of deep purple with fools gold brocade and a black bowler-hat.
History:
Born in a small, backwards goblinoid community in Magocracy territory, Erik was soon discovered to be a useful mage and was accepted into a university. Unfortunately, he was turned into a hazeman due to a particularly excitable professor and some enchanted water. The university and mages guilds were very understanding, being the logical people that they are, but the smaller towns and villages were still rooted in fear and prejudice, so he left for a more populated area. While being transported, Erik found himself quite interested in the magitek engines that powered the ship, and went almost immediately back to university to study engineering. The job of Overseer fit him very well, due to his love of the engines and logical output, so he wholeheartedly embraced a life of travelling amongst the stars.
