But not being able to get my videogame son anything ... God, that was sad. :'-( I stopped playing the game and haven't really touched it since.
That's too funny. I laughed at having no morale when making mankind pay in blood, but your virtual son not getting anything nice...
I know. Actually, I think the No Russian level wasn't controversial ENOUGH! If I had been head of development, I would have made that level so terrible that it would have received an Adults Only rating.

FTW!

Planescape:Torment.
Got lost in the Mortuary (where you begin, it's just a 3 floor building) for about 3 hours, gave up after that.

Second time through, got the Widescreen Patch finally working, and stormed through the game. (well, it was a really slow storm, but that's not the point)

When I was younger I bought Suikoden III, only to sell it back the next day, all because there were no voice work.
I went and got Suikoden IV, instead.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl... I was having a tremendous experience with the game. Really. It was atmospheric, immersive, challenging (autosave is bound to my M3), and really kept me wanting to make progress and see everything it had to offer. Then it stopped being fun. Why? Two words: Lab X16. When I showed up at the lake region, I had two severely awesome assault rifles, a pistol, a fuckton of grenades, and enough bullets to fill up a pillowcase and beat someone to death in case my guns broke. These treasures were all very hard-earned from several days of exploration and cautious firefights.

Then suddenly, SNORKS AND ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE. By the time I got to the freaking lab, I had about one magazine left in my upgraded/scoped AK and a couple of bullets for my Walther-facsimile. Once inside, suddenly, SNORKS AND ZOMBIES. EVERYWHERE. AT CLOSE RANGE. AND VIRTUALLY NOTHING TO FUCKING KILL THEM WITH. In most games, this would still be do-able by keeping a cool head and aiming true, but this is STALKER, where bullets consider your aim to be more of a suggestion than anything, and for some reason, the enemies that it's fond of throwing at you in huge numbers are even harder to kill than the ones it sends after you sparingly (at one point, two snorks ate at least three of my most powerful grenades before I had to frantically finish them off with a piss-weak handgun), and as the cherry on the "fuck you" sundae, on the rare instances that they do drop ammo, you'll get back a third of what you just put in their skulls. By the time I got to the part with the Brain Scorcher, for the first time in my life, I found myself playing a game where I had no weapons and the zombies were shooting at me.

As you probably guessed from the subject of this thread, I said "fuck this", exited out, booted up the much-less-aggravating TF2, and have yet to give it another chance.

I picked up White Knight Chronicles, mainly to support the developer.

The game was pretty awful, but the thing that bothered me the most was that the character customization was too good, and the character I had made looked so much like me that I was constantly freaked out by it.

Lost Odyssey.
Goddamn Motherhugging Triple Worm Boss.
Then I come back to it months later and an invinclible cavalry unit attacks me for not allowing them to pick a flower?
God, I despise that game...

In case you were wondering, I haven't played it since.

That worm boss at Grand Staff is the hardest boss in the whole game. Seeing the second worm jump out of nowhere with its superattack already fully charged is devastating in more ways than one.

Man, Lost Odyssey in general tended to be really tough, though it does get a lot easier after the first disc or so.

I can almost hear you monologuing about how manly you are and you watch Youtube videos of the 'No Russian' level of Modern Warfare 2.Is that supposed to make us feel any different?Ooh,you killed pedestrians on a GTA clone, how interesting. And the best part that you say "God,that's sad" at the end of the post.I can determine you are religious,so that's another point subtracted from you,and why are you sad? That's like stomping on a Goomba in Super Mario Bros. and saying that "he deserved it",then 5 seconds later crying and yelling "What kind of monster am I?!".Ohwell, staying on topic:
My PS2 broke down. Not much of a strange reason, really, but seriously, what else do you expect from us?

Oblivion, my level was in the thirties and I had just done KOTK. I talked to a guy I forgot to recruit and he joined me. Great! I thought but it was horrible. The guy was an imperial who couldn't die and I couldn't dismiss him which meant I could never commit another crime again.

I never went back to it.
I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you played a console version.

Stopped playing Borderlands on the PS3 because it used the crappy back triggers and there was no option to change it, that is also the reason I havent played that much GTA 4 on the ps3, but i've played many many hours on the xbox

Correct, the PS3 version.

I now have the PC version with every user patch under the sun but have only played about 8 hours of it.
Yeah, I know there's a mod that lets you ditch that guy. I can't play Oblivion on a console anymore because I got spoiled with my PC mods. Oddly enough, I'm holding out on Fallout 3 mods until after I finish clearing the Achievements on the 360 version.

This was around 2002 or so when starcraft was an 'old game'.

I stopped playing starcraft because my roomate's pants caught on fire.

The fire had nothing to do with the game. But his flaming pants took his computer with them. This caused me to stop playing it because my internet sucked and without a roomie('s computer) to lan with i lost interest after beating.

Don't remember when but was years ago. I was playing one of doom games on original xbox. Was one with metal case collectors edition or something. After playing for about half hour to hour I put it in case and never touched it again. The game just made me sick, it wasn't disgust just felt wrong. I don't know to this day what made me feel that way but only time it ever happened.
