Saga is consistently weird maybe but its really not what I call logical.
aside from the fact its straight up fantasy rather than sci fi the world has its rules, in fact what makes it interesting is in the world everyone talks and acts like you or I...but the world iself is full of weirdness

Ever seen Eraserhead.

It's David Lynch's nightmare put on screen. If that sentence isn't enough to send you running off screaming...

Without a doubt, most of the dream sequences from the Courage the Cowardly Dog episode "Perfect".

But I like to imagine this gem of disturbance is the one that got it cancelled *shivers* :

I wouldn't be surprised. Either they modelled it after one, or they took a stuffed specimen and rigged it up with animatronics. I mean, the movie is from 1977 and that puppet is one of the most organic looking things I've ever seen in a film.

Have anyone here ever seen Paprika? Much of it, if not the entire movie, is a big mind screw. The parade might not be the strangest of it's scenes, but it's the one scene that sticks with you.

I love that movie.

I much rather Perfect blue (same director) but yeah...interesting how Paprika has some similarites to inception..and Perfect Blue is practically the Anime version of black swan

That one in the Matrix anime tie-in where the robot has an acid trip and its armour shrivels into a ball and rolls into a hole. I believe it was some kind of brainwashing technique.

Both the director and the author of the book are in the movie as the two butler guys. Also, if you've seen Tokyo Godfathers, Mima totally has a little cameo in it.

Although there are a lot of weird goings on in Alice's Wonderland one scene always stood out to me to be the weirdest; one I could not fathom at all and would always brush over and try not to think too hard about when revisiting the tale. That is the scene that takes place inside the Sheep's Shop from Through The Looking Glass.

This is the summary:
Alice finds herself in a dark shop with a sheep behind the counter. The sheep encourages her to make up her mind about what she is going to purchase, but Alice asks for time to look around before making up her mind. But when she tries to peruse the shelves, there is never anything on the shelf she is looking at.

She discovers that the sheep is knitting with 14 pairs of needles. The sheep asks her if she can row, and she says that she could only do so in water, and then she finds herself in a boat with the sheep. She notices some beautiful rushes and picks some, but their beauty fades once they are in the boat.

She suddenly finds herself in the shop again with the sheep asking what she wants, and when she asks for an egg, the sheep places it on the shelf. She is convinced that it is not a good policy to put things directly into a person's hand. When Alice reaches for the egg, it just moves farther away from her, and soon everything she approaches becomes a tree.
Now couple that with the usual language quips, double meanings and nuances and you have the oddest scene in the whole of the 2 part series.

I think one of the Space Dandy episodes.

Scratch that, almost all of the Space Dandy episodes.
I can't wait for season 2...

I absolutely love Doom Patrol. If anyone wants superhero comics that revel in the surreal, this series if for you.

It's difficult to pick a 'strangest scene' from Doom Patrol. It's also difficult to know what to say to encourage people to read it. I guess I can only suggest if you like graphic novels and surrealism and superheroes, and you haven't looked at Doom Patrol, then have a look next time you're in the comic store.

While I'm definitely sticking with my original "all of Saga" answer, I wanted to add a few runners up:

-Most of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series would work, but that strangest moment just HAS to be Agrajag.
If I'm remembering correctly, Arthur Dent gets teleported, but instead of ending up where he wanted to be, he ends up in a shrine dedicated to...Arthur Dent. Specifically, to hating Arthur Dent. This shrine, it turns out, was created by Agrajag. Agrajag is a creature who has been reincarted, hindu-style, over and over again. And for whatever reason, he is always killed, directly or indirectly, by Arthur Dent, who had no idea Agrajag even existed. Dent kills Agrajag once again (this time in self-defense) and escapes the shrine (AKA The Cathedral of Hatred) as it is destroyed by explosives meant for Dent.

This character comes out of nowhere and barely ever mentioned again.

-Second runner-up is a book called "John Dies at the End". All of it.
-A monster made up of chunks of supermarket meat.
- An alternate universe where, thanks to marvels of biological engineering, they use giant, hollow (but very much alive) spiders as elevators. Most of their "machines" are actually biologically engineered organisms.
-The villain, who is essentially Satan, speaks like a 12-year old COD player. Actually, that one might make a kind of perfect sense.
-The Wig Monsters, which look like a cross between a demonic crab and a dog. Also, they appear to be wearing wigs for absolutely no reason. Either that, or they have natural, flowing blonde hair. Again, for absolutely no reason.

The scene in Mulholland Drive, early on, where the guy explains why he wanted to go to the specific branch of 'Winkies'

Seems incidental, almost random, but aspects of the nature of this scene are very important.

Amazing stuff.
