I don't know if they were the "strangest," but there were these shows that were actually children's anime I used to watch.

- Noozles: A little girl goes on dimension hopping adventures with magical koalas
- Maya the Bee: A bee named Maya does stuff
- Little Prince: A boy goes on adventures by catching comets in a net
- Grimm Fairy Tales: Anime adaptations of Grimm fairy tales

The x files? I mean, i was a kid. It was the first programn i remember wanting to watch regularly.

Dinosaurs? I only remember the baby hitting the dadda.

Eerie Indiana? Sort of like the twilight zone i guess, a few weird stories.

Alex the Kid. She turns into a puddle of pee or something else yellow and...ermm...does...stuff?

Animaniacs...i think that covers a few different shorts.

Ooglies! Ok, i wasn't a kid by that point, but it did make me feel the joy of being one.

Biker mice from mars. What the hell even happened in that show? Was it weird? I remember so little of das glorious void of childhood.

Edit: Oh, once, i found a couple of Guyver VHS episodes in an uncle's box of films. Watching that unsupervised experience was an interesting memory.

Other than that, it is difficult to remember much.

Growing up, I remember watching a show called Ned's Newt. It was about a kid and his pet newt who transformed into a six foot tall, talking newt with shapeshifting and reality warping powers whenever he was fed some kind of special newt food, like a crappier version of the Mask or the Genie from Aladdin. Probably not the most bizarre premise in the world (and the show itself was pretty mediocre), but I still get a sense of "I used to watch that?!" whenever I think back on it.
Man, I remember that show... Weird thing is, nobody else ever talks about it. You're the first person I've ever seen mention it on the web.

Strangest would probably be, for me at least...

Biker Mice from Mars

Stunt Dawgs

Dino Riders

That last one was, again for me, equal parts strange and awesome. Because, whomever the fuck pitched the idea for that and whomever gave it the green light were probably doing just as much drugs as Keith Richards was, between the two of them. And it was awesome.

Probably Thunderbirds. Those puppets were radical, but ohhh so creepy at times.

I used to love Thunderbirds... well, more accurately I loved the Thunderbirds nes game, I only saw a couple episodes of the show.

I don't really remember any shows I used to watch that were really strange. Then again I don't really remember much of what I used to watch. I remember more of the games I played.

Yeah, if you're not Australian, I highly recommend checking out Round The Twist. Classic Aussie television.

Holy Crap!! We had that show in the UK. We get a lot of Aussie TV here and that was one of them. I think it was on CBBC or CITV. You just had to do the theme didn't you? DIDNT YOU? Its torture!!

I kid.

I couldn't even remember the name of it. I do remember one weird ass episode where one of the sentient barbie dolls replaced all its body parts with things like staple remover to become some monster thingy. For any Aussies anybody remember Ferals or whatever it was called the one with all the puppets of creatures feral in Australia?

I dunno, what's weird? Animaniacs was pretty frickin weird, really, but since it was popular, isn't it no longer that weird? Spongebob Squarepants can be weird as hell, but we don't really think of it like that because it's mainstream.

I know Nickelodeon has had some bizzare cartoons, some more or less weird than others. But the ones I actually watched won't seem as weird as the ones I'm not familiar with.

I remember Maya the Bee and Little Prince. I was rather shocked to discover that there is a CGI Maya the Bee Movie that came out recently.

I'll add Special Delivery to the list. Children sitcom set inside a department store with a mannequin who came to life when you put a magic hat on his head and said " Hocus Pocus Alamogokus"

alright, i've got a weird one that i think is pretty damn obscure.

there used to be a Mr Potato Head show. wit puppets (and sometimes real human actors). it was about Mr Potato Head being a TV actor, and various adventures he had along with other food-based friends (Ms Sweet Potato, Ham, and of particular note, Mr Giblets... who was giblets. there was a character that was a talking pile of guts. you know, for kids!)

(don't be fooled by the catchy intro, it's not a very good show)

Probably Rokos Modern Life although I didn't actively seek it out, it was just on when I got home. Cow and Chicken and Ren and Stimpy where on a similar vein but I hated those.

Of shows I actually wanted to watch Courage the Cowardly Dog.

my days as a kid were the late 70's early 80's so it was mostly a series of LSD induced creative ideas masquerading as kids tv.

the goodies
H.R. PUFNSTUF
mr squiggle and friends
bill and ben the flower pot men
and the aunty jack show
