Strangest thing you've ever done on a whim

Its a simple question that I pose to you, my fellow Escapists. What is the strangest thing you've ever done on a whim?

Me personally, I randomly got the urge to paint my self gray. I took a bottle and a half of gray paint and 25 minutes to cover myself completely in gray paint except for my hair and the bottom of my feet.

Traveled 22 hours by Greyhound bus to spend a week with a girl. TOTALLY worth it.

I think mine had to be attempting to play a video game upside down while the TV was the right way up...
it was so much fun...yet so random I have no idea why I did that...

I did something similar once. I have a massive red marker, and I was just playing with it one day until I had this sudden urge to pull the top off and colour my hands red. So I did. I actually have a lot of random urges to do strange things.

I once spent an entire hour jumping up and down on my bed, holding a pencil above me in an attempt to make a mark on the ceiling. It didn't work out very well, and my arm got pretty numb after a while from holding the pencil up in the air for so long.

A friend of mine and I did something similar except it was with steak knives and we were trying to stick them in the ceiling. You'd be amazed how hard it is to stick knives in a ceiling not to mention the fact that if you push up too hard you hand slips up the blade, my friend cut his finger down to the bone; and that was the end of that.

I did that except I pretended to be a statue and stood in a park with a hat in front of me. Not the strangest but it's all I can remember.

Ed - Here's a good one;

Last week or so, I went for a walk and kept on walking, turns out I was gone for 8 hours (counting there and back). I have no idea why I did that.

Punched a clamp in my finger with a stapler just to se if it would hurt and how much it would bleed.

I did this while sitting a the counter selling tickets in a cimema. I couldnt stop laughing when I saw the blood on my screen, the window, table and keyboard. It was everywhere. Tiny and rather big droplets of the stuff.

That evening a new girl had her fist day on the job and I was supposed to help her get settled in. When she saw what I was laughing at she became very pale, very fast. She must have thought I was a maniac.

Ahhh good times.

Can't think of anything. I don't do whimsical. I do carefully planned and thought out. That's why I don't end up painted grey or staple myself.

I don't often do thinks on a whim. One incident springs to mind however...

During my first year of Uni I recieved an email from a girl I knew a bit in the year above me inviting everyone on our course to go to London (from Southampton) to see her boyfriends band play. I thought why not? I was the only person to reply and duly arrived to catch a coach with about 50 people I'd never met before. One person I did know from the snooker club I had just joined (small world). Long story short, it was an awesome trip and great gig. I have been to almost every one of their gigs (they now have a new band) since and have been good friends with that group for the past five years. I've even opened for them at a couple of gigs.

Good times!

Had a form of sex, which looking back on, provides a hilarious story.

I'm not sure if "form of sex" should make me chuckle or be afraid, especially with the "hilarious story" bit at the end. XD

OT: I once jumped off of my roof instead of using the ladder because it was faster. Asking my current gf out was sorta kinda on a whim, which was totally a good idea. I once tried to mix a bunch of leftovers together to make something...good idea in theory, bad idea if you don't have stuff that goes together.

Also, if you have an itch in your balls and are hanging out with some friends of yours, never say, "My balls itch, can you scratch them?" It generally doesn't end well.
