One day i decided to stalk this girl that i know around town. When she stopped in a parking lot to complete her first errand i saw from afar that she had a pair of panties in the rear window, don't ask why. I thought "I must have them!" so while she was gone i ran over to her car real quick and broke into it.

After i crawled into the back seat she was coming back so i ducked down behind her driver's seat on the floor. It was a tight fit, believe me. She began driving somewhere else, but i could not see where since i was on the floor. I guess we were on a highway or something when i suddenly heard police sirens and it felt like she pulled over onto the shoulder.

Let me just tell you that i was pretty amazed that she got pulled over while i was in her car. So the police officer walks up to the door and starts his business. He took a look at me and i guess just decided i was her sleeping boyfriend or something, who knows. As this girl was giving him her info, a car raced by, threw a chocolate milkshake at the cop and shouted "Pigs tryin to blow my house down!"

Much later, i typed in those words into google and found out it was Cypress Hill. There you have it.
That is probably the most disturbing thing I have heard in a while but my dear sir I do believe that you are a winner here.

Typically, I watch a youtube video of game gameplay and they sometimes have really cool music, like Poets of the Fall.

Also one time I was bored at school and kept clicking on random articles on Wikipedia. There I found the bands Manowar and Within Temptation.

My sister came into my room, shoved earphones into my ears and blasted Skanking Song full volume on her walkman. I had problems hearing for a few weeks. Today, [spunge] are still my favourite band.

I was reading a 'list of canadian bands' article on Wikipedia and say a band called The Most Serene Republic. I thought that was such an interesting name for a band that I had to try it out. Turns out they're awesome.

I was bored and looking up Hetalia videos on Youtube because I have no life, when I clicked on a video that had the AmericaCanada pairing, something I ship like a MoFo, but I still prefer PruCan, but I'm now off topic. Anyway, I like the beat and watched it a couple more times until I got hooked.

I shall link said video here.

Warning: YAOI!

The song is All to Myself by Marianas Trench

Suck your face. Trout Mark Replica is a brilliant album.

Unless you only like normal music, then go about doing your thing. I don't care. To each their own.

All of my ways are boring, including:
-Pandora.com
-Music games
-Myspace of artists I do know
-TV / Movies / Radio, then using Google to find the title
-They collaborated with an artist I know

By Googling the lyrics of some bands, I have accidentally been led to song titles or band names of others. It's an odd but interesting way to find bands, especially given some of the names I have come across.

It's also surprising how many bands you can find by Googling a naughty word of some description, some people will go by anything to get attention.

I like the avant-garde aesthetic of the album, I just feel that it's done a lot better elsewhere.

I just click the similar bands thing on Last.fm until I don't recognise any of the bands. Then I pick the one that sounds the most interesting.

But I once talked to some guy on Omegle, who ended up sending me his album which he said was quite heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, so that's how I got a free Logjam CD and made a new friend. So far he hasn't used my address for anything...undesirable.

Well I was walking down the street when out the corner of my eye I saw this pretty little thing approaching me. She said, "I never seen a man who could look so all alone and could you use a little company? If you pay the right price, your evening would be nice and you could go ahead and send me on my way." I said, "You're such a sweet young thing why did you do this to yourself?" She looked at me and this is what she said:

"Wow, this is just like that one song."

Weirdest way probably was a bit of graffiti in a bar. It was written in tiny writing scratched into the table I was at. Can't even remember which band it was now or why the hell I looked it up.

I learned about Nightwish from The Elder Scrolls Shivering Isles expansion.

I found a treasure chest in a cave I was exploring called The Dark Chest of Wonders, which contained the Ring of Oceanborn. When I looked this up on the Elder Scrolls wiki and discovered they were an Easter egg referring to a band called Nightwish, I headed to itunes to learn what made them awesome enough to be referenced in Elder Scrolls. I found out :)

Pendulum from Manta Engie's Mass AI video.

The song "Hero" was made into a chiptune used as the theme for the mini-game "Hero 3D," which was actually vector graphics and not 3D, in Iji. That's how I found out about Machinae Supremacy.

A lot of bands I only hear about because I go to their shows... but there are some that I only know of because they were playing over the speakers in a Barnes & Noble.

Strangest way, eh? Well, a recent example of mine would be when I was on the C-Train last year and the guy across from me had his MP3 player pretty loud. I wasn't paying much attention to the blaring music until I heard the iconic "aaaAAAAAaaa!" commonly known as the Wilhelm Scream. By the end of the song, he, I, and another dude were all dancing to it. Here's a YouTube vid:

This

And I discovered Timber Timbre after tracking down the name of their song that was used in a scene in Breaking Bad. In case you're interested, Magic Arrow.

Oh, and one day, I randomly had MGMT's Kids stuck in my head, but I didn't have any recollection of the song. It was just playing in my head without me knowing what it was, so I started humming it and seeing if people would recognize it. Nobody did. So I googled what lyrics I thought I knew, "Hold yourself...need only to believe...something." Somehow, that got me to the song.

That used to happen to me a lot back when I frequented Chapters (the Canadian Barnes & Noble). It's where I first heard former favourites of mine like "Heaven is a Place on Earth" by Cindi Lauper and Belinda Carlisle, "Downtown" by Petula Clark, and "Brand New Key" by Melanie Safka.
