Strangest way you've died in a Game

In Deus Ex I filled my entire inventory with cigarettes and stood there smoking them until I died cause I thought they healed you. and in Gmod I made a destructible giant flying doom fortress equipped with turrets, a cargo bay that held troops and vehicles and a catapult(took me weeks) and I threw a giant mass of assorted things out of the catapult and it went straight up in the air came back down and destroyed me and my fortress before I could react it was hilarious because I put explosive barrels all over the ground so when all the pieces hit it exploded and everything went flying then my computer crashed from the stress...

I was fighting the first Geth Armature in Therum in Mass Effect.. I got back into the Mako (I fight all enemies in that game 100% out of the Mako, even Thresher Maws, making the "YOU KILLED THE THRESHER ON FOOT!?" dialogues in ME2 seem hilarious)..

And the mako launches itself 100 yards into the air, flips over, and lands upside down on top of the lava, killing me.

hl2. lots of barrels. got blasted OUT OF THE MAP. i was floating above city 17 admiring the buildings and the mass of grey.

That reminds me, there was one part in HL2 where I got crushed by the train, then rag-dolled 100 meters into the air, outside the map. It's funny because this happened to me twice.

Oh, I actually have a really cool one for this thread:

I was playing inFamous and I had just used arc restraint on a bad guy and stuck him to the railroad tracks. As I was running away, I realized, "Hey, why don't I stay and watch him get hit by the train?" So I ran back and did.

After a good 30 seconds of waiting, I finally saw the train approaching. And when it hit him? It slammed into his body at full-speed and ran directly over it. It was awesome! I felt like a cheesy cartoon villain who had just pinned a damsel in distress to the train tracks with similar results. Unfortunately, in my celebration, the other train came, I got stuck in between the two, thrown back and forth and died.

It was almost like videogame karma. Now I'm starting to think that games are getting too smart, thanks to this one's sadistic sense of humor. Although, I must admit, it was pretty funny.

Awesome! I would have never thought to do that in that game!
Clearly I don't think outside the box often enough.

I got splattered by an unmanned ATV.

To elaborate: In Bad Company 2, I saw an ATV with 2 enemies on it zooming in my general direction. Feeling cheeky, I decided to stand in front of it and snipe both riders off with one shot. I succeeded, but forgot to take into account that inertia and momentum would cause the now riderless ATV to keep moving. Squish.

I was playing HQ on CoD with a friend and someone blew up a car and I watch one of the wheels go up in the air and come back down and kill my friend as he was walking out of a building. Then something REALLY weird happened. That I can only describe as 
apocalyptic.
To this day that event puzzles me. It keeps me awake at night.

I didn't really either; I just so happened to bond the enemy to the train tracks and then, after running away, I decided it'd be kind of cool to see what would happen when the train hit him.

It was pretty awesome, but not quite as cool as when I was hit by the train.

i was sniping in Halo 3 in blood gulch, something i hardly ever do because i hate to snipe because i hate snipers because they are cheapskates who cant find the melee button and dont know how to one-two with the plasma pistol. some guy on the other team managed to sneak around and drive a warthog all the way over near me pointed at me. he then melee'd it and it splattered me. wtf.

I dont know if anyone else has said this yet but... sniping isnt cheap.

Why would you claim it is? Because they shoot you? Oh no, really? On a First Person Shooter? :O

Its not like snipers have infinite ammo... or even a lot of ammo and Halo is one of the worst games to be a sniper on too because it is way too easy to follow the shot back to where the sniper is/was.

If you want to see pain in the ass snipers then play Battlefield Bad Company 2... you either have snipers or people in vehicles... thats it. And with the size of the maps you would be lucky to find a half decent sniper before he gets at least 1-2 kills or destroy a heavy vehicle before they get 4 kills. Oh and almost everyone is looking to spawn rape all the time too, thats pretty much all they ever do. Get in a vehicle drive to your spawning point and kill recently spawned people while snipers pick off anyone trying to C4 your tank or run away... which would be fine if they werent destroying an equal number of peoples gaming experience in the process and effectily robbing them of the money they spent on the internet, xbox live and the game in the process. /rant.

OT: I would have to say the most recent of pecualiar/undeserved deaths would be today when I was playing Bad Company 2 and the person piloting the helicopter got himself, me and 3 other guys killed by flying out of the area and into water so we couldnt even move fast enough to get back into the area... I can assure you that guy was not the most popular chap on our team after that.

Was wreaking general chaos in GTA IV, when a surprise cop car fell down on me.
I was just shooting cops, like usual, and the thing just literally fell down on me.
I even went back to the 'scene' to try to figure out just how the fuck that happened.
Never managed to explain it.

In Portal Preludes i jumped through a portal just as the platform which the portal was on moved. Technically i didn't die but the top half of my body was stuck on the platform and i had to reload.

I once died while resting in Morrowind.

I had just levelled up, rested so I could assign skill points, assigned said skill points, and upon confirmation I was dead. It was extremely random.

I have also been killed by a burrowed Deathclaw in Fallout 3. Just 2 Deathclaw arms sticking out of the ground, coming at me slowly. So I stupidly shot one of them, and then it started moving quickly at me.

in MW2 once on Wasteland someone fired a random grenade over the hedge and it killed me

Once on Halo 2 i blew up a tank with a rocket launcher and a piece of it went flying through the air and hit me

Was zooming through the last part of Halo 3 when my warthog got flipped. Thought "no big deal, I'll just flip it over real quick and be on my way." Flipped it, got hurled across the map and died.
