Every single game requires some degree of strategic thinking, from the obvious choices of RTS games, to those seemingly less obvious like fighting or driving games.

My question is, which games have you encountered that require the most, and the least ammount of strategy?

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver. Especially for Pokemon Battle Revolution

But for RTS...The only one I've played was C&C3 but I didn't play a lot of it.

Generally any FPS has the least amount of strategy. Aim->Shoot->Hide->Aim->Shoot->Hide.

Not a whole lot of strategy involved. Some games (Team Fortress (2) for instance) mix it up with different classes but essentially they're not really that complex in nature.

Civ 4 on a reasonable difficulty setting requires a fair amount of strategic thought - not even huge stacks will save you against a smart enemy.

Least strategy? Rome total war really. Play as Romans - position your troops in the corner of the map, on a hill if possible - let enemies run into you - win.

Worms 2 loads of strategy required and if you use the proper settings you've gotta make your choices quickly

Oh forgot Supreme Ruler 2020, I gave up on that game after 20 minutes...Just too many things to consider, my brain hurt and I needed to go play a shooty game

warhammer battle march often requires quite a bit of strategic thinking.

another gw video game, as good as dow2 is most of the campaign levels can be beaten by rushing your dread and having your tactical and devastator squads just hide behind him blasting everything to little pieces.

The Most: Starcraft, remember you have to think of a smart way to use your economy rather than spamming units (unless you ARE Zerg ZERG RUSH FTW!) and you have to think ahead such as, has the enemy sent out Observers? Should I expand ?

Wrong. If you get an enemy that shies away from ranged, you'll just get steamrolled as you'll have nowhere to run.
Well you say "wrong"; but having completed the campaign several times using that tactic, I'm inclined to disagree.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

And it's an FPS, too.
Littleknown fact that OPF2:DR is a great co-op strategy experience...that is, until you play it with someone who's actually in the military. Here I thought I was being all sneaky and strategic, then my friend -- who's in the service -- essentially told me that I was doing just about EVERYTHING wrong :)

My vote for most would go to Civ 4 on Diety. You better have a long and short term strategy just to survive!

Least = any arcade style racing game.
