Street Fighter IV is really Street Fighter Vs Capcom?

Okay, so I have never really been a fan of the Street Fighter series myself, but I do like Capcom fighting games. Marvel Vs Capcom, SNK Vs Capcom, Darkstalkers and the like.
I've noticed in alot of videos recently that it's not just Street Fighter characters in the game.
I've seen videos with people playing as Morrigan Aensland, some characters from an old anime called Battle of The planets, as well as Megaman X and Zero.
My question is this, if I'm not a Street Fighter fan (of the universe in general), is there a chance I'd enjoy IV purely for the other bonus characters contained in it?

My next question is how many of these bonus characters are DLC required in order to play as them, and would I be better off using my money on another game rather than Street Fighter IV, like say Blazblue: Eternity Trigger as I'm a huge Guilty Gear fan?

What you've seen is Tatsunoko VS Capcom not Street Fighter IV.

...Are you sure you are not referrring to Tatsunoku Vs Capcom? Because those characters aren't in STREET FIGHTER, that's definately Capcom Vs Tatsunoku which is a Wii game. So unless you got a Wii, I'd say get Blazblue, in my opinion it has FAR better and nore interesting gameplay than bland old street fighter.

Damn... that is disappointing. I'd hoped it was Street fighter IV (i literally had no idea) and I don't own a wii. So far there's Tatsunoku Vs Capcom and Other M that interest me. I'm not buying a new console for 2 games, so I guess I shall buy Blazblue. Thanks for your help.

That's what threw me. I saw a video with them in it and assumed it was SF4.
