It's just not fair. To all of you who've bought, and play, Street fighter V has anyone been able to beat Hard Mode Survival, or beyond? I've been trying to do it since the game came out and it's proven to be the most asinine task. I try to complete this task not because it's fun or for some awesome prize but, for dum throw away colors. After multiple attempts I've come to the conclusion that it is not worth the time and effort. Fighting 50 matches in a row with varying degrees of difficulty, that increase without a moments notice. It wouldn't be a problem if my health didn't carry over from the previous battle. Does anyone share my struggle?

From what I've gathered, a lot of SFV's content was focused towards the pro scene so I can see why a lot of people might be calling BS.

Still, from how I'm hearing it, it's kinda a neat simulation of how to make a comeback and it could be a good way of seeing what's getting you beat up mid fight.
You fire it up, do your thing and use the information you gather (Namely what approach has what effect) to improve your play.
Hell, once I finally get the game, it might be a good way of "Gitting gud" as I don't play online too much.

I main mika. It's nigh undoable. I've seen videos but it really comes down to luck and exploiting the CPU. I completed it on normal with mika, and that's good enough for me to be honest. It would be a lot easier if it was playing a character like ken who has a decent cross up.

My Record was Level 32 on Hard but i'm a noob anyway when it comes to SF.
But yeah from Level 11 upward it gets more difficult.

AI in fighters reads your inputs and reacts with inhuman speed so it's not at all like how the game actually is meant to be played, I'd just ignore it and fight people.

But the colors man, THE COLORS!

Seriously though, i agree with dreiko, the ai reads your imputs so if you want to be semi competent at the game , ignore the AI completly. BUT THE COLORS!

I'll be honest i like having to get colors through survival mode, but they went too far. I'd prefer it to be 10-20 rounds all around, but have the difficulty spike from go. Because as it is now the first 20-25 fights are filler.

I've beaten it on easy, normal, and hard as Karin. The power-ups were required for hard (though I used one health refill in normal).

It's a good challenge, and gives fight money. Would have been nice to have in SF4 honestly. I would ruin the computer as Decapre or Juri in that.

I finished normal with Nash. I'm not going to cause myself a heart attack trying to finish any difficulty level that isn't beginner or normal on any other character. So while I definitely empathize with how bullshit fighting game AI can be, I can't say I'm having the same issues.

All I care about in any fighting game is having the opportunity to play with other people (preferably offline) and improving through that.

Imo its a pretty poor mode I think Persona did the survival thing the best but I generally dont enjoy survival modes much anyway.

I did easy got a colour tried normal got to greedy failed once and have never tried it since. My main problem with it is that its to slow you wait for loading then fight then select the powerup or negative bonus then load again its just tedious. I dont like survival in DOA either (except DOA2) but at least there the fights are fast literally as soon as you beat someone the next jumps into the ring and you keep going.

Cant believe they locked colours behind this mode as well, titles yeah ok np there but not colours and apparently completing it with a character only unlocks the colours for the costume the character was wearing when you played rather than all of their costumes. Also its great when the game disconnects from the server when playing, love that.

For me its not worth it Arcade was always my favourite mode offline or just straight Vs the comp depending on the game and what I want to do at the time neither of which SFV has. So I just stick with default colour and play online so I can at least get some fun out of the game. Hopefully they will change it so that say you can get colours for a character by playing online matches say 1 colour for every 10 matches played win or lose for all costumes with that character. Encourage people even more to play online since thats what the game is focused on (pretty much to a fault).

Only other reason to play survival is for Fight Money and I dont care about that much I would rather get it from playing online even though the gain is a lot smaller, again why online nets less rewards than survival I have no idea. Also no idea why they put survival over arcade.

Higher difficulties against comps in fighters is much more about exploiting the AI. You will never win legit against the AI if it decides you need to enter more money so ta speak.
