Can't believe it takes a high school student to do this. I was honestly surprised that on an anime discussion site i was the only one to point out how rarely animes accurately depict the effects of retrograde amnesia. True i'm trained in that regard, but you'd think it would be easy to call bullshit when amnesia causes someone to forget an extremely important person and forget people she couldn't care less about when the OPPOSITE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRUE. Yes trading fact for function is somewhat of a pet peeve of mine, like why Mass Effect 2 never explains why they switched from a near infinite ammo approach to the fucking heat clip system instead of allowing the option to vent the heat sink and recharge the ammo count without having to dump the entire thing wasn't an option. Or in an anime i mentioned above where a girl falls backwards down a flight of stairs and somehow scrapes her knee, or another anime where a boy falls into a frozen lake and comes down with a simple cold rather than hypothermia. Maybe i should also bring up to a few animes that take part in space that there is a reason other sci-fis rely on weird things like the Mass Effect or warp technology instead of simply having a ship that travels at light speed since gravity is an effect of mass and velocity.
...okay maybe that one is a little high-brow, but still. You get the idea. It's not like it's hard to look this shit up nowadays, a lot of these issues could have been solved with a simple Wiki or Google search. For fucks sake, i can name nine-year-olds who know that traveling at terminal velocity means NOTHING will break the fall without slowing down the descent or being able to survive being liquidated. Maybe for a follow-up the student can explain to Halo fans that the MJOLNIR armor would not be able to make Master Chef survive a three kilometer drop in a standard gravity world.

I think you think 4chan is more powerful than it actually is. I spent a short amount of time trying to figure what the actual mass would likely be of the pegasi... came up with 0.245kg. This is assuming from usage of F=ma and F=kq^2/r^2 (so m=kq^2/(ar^2)). Then a buncha stuff about rainclouds. I honestly think I screwed up multiple times in multiple places, but still. The end answer is semi-plausible... taking some liberties with assumptions as well.
