Buckingham palace is good, its fun to annoy those guards and watch their parade. Also there's a lot more in britain than just london. I'd recommend you go to other places too if you have time I'd recommend you get a 5 hour train to glasgow and see some of scotland

Although Natural History Museum and the HMS Belfast were enjoyable.

I'll just add the Imperial War Museum and the Science Museum. Sure, it's just popular science, but it's still quite good to peruse.

OT: Go cubbing. London has apparently got a pretty good nightlife.

'Cubbing', what's that? Though OP did say he's 16, so... but he might be able to get away with it.

OT: It really depends what you want to do. As far as museums are concerned, all the good ones have already been mentioned, and the problem is that most of the best museums aren't in London. Covent Garden and the surrounding area is great for theatres, and the West End in general is good for shopping. Camden on a weekend is pretty lively, though get out before six (or whenever the sun sets, as that's when all the undead... things appear). And there's the London Eye of course (even if it is quite expensive, but that's to be expected). Not sure, but you might be able to get a tour of the Houses of Parliament, don't know if they still have those (and if you feel you can get away with it, bring in some eggs and throw them at random old fogeys with furs on their heads, or Nick Griffin/Andrew Bronze/Richard Barnbrook, nobody'll mind that).

thats a lot of time to eat into a week long trip, and if you were in Scotland itd be better to make a week of that between edinburgh and glasgow tbh. So whilst you are correct there are other places in england, their a lot hastle to get to in the same trip, and that sometimes can get in the way of the relaxing part of a trip.

Taking the piss out of a royal guard. Seriously, I've done this a few times and it's quite funny. I actually got one to move to push me away. I stood in front of him and bent over, pulled my sex-face.

Good times. Really funny how many people quickly get their cameras out just to take a pic of that.
