We already have a thread about what our best E3 so its time to go to the other end of the scale for stuff we don't want at E3.

Microsoft- too much focus on Kinect and the TV capabilities of the Xbox One will probably put you in a deeper hole than the one you put yourselves in last year

Sony- limited support for the Vita, being a douchebag after selling a shitton of PS4s

Nintendo- a small selection of games for the Wii U and promising to advertise the damn thing without the advertising part of it

3rd parties- to quote Yahtzee "Any game trailers, especially ones that didn't show gameplay, are basically two minutes of a publisher soaping their ballsack under carefully arranged mood lighting." So I hope you learned your lesson from Dead Island along with countless others and will provide more gameplay trailers.

Valve- I don't want anymore Steam Machines announced because theres too many. I know choice is a good thing but too much of it can prove a problem think Doodle God. Also some are really overpriced making Alienware look like the cheap supermarket brand.

Also from the gaming community I don't want overhyping you remember Daikatana or Duke Nukem Forever. So can we keep the hype under manageable levels or we'll just end up disappointed.

This is the stuff I don't want at this years E3 but I'm pretty sure we all know some of the stuff will happen especially the 3rd party trailers part.(I think I might be asking for too much in certain section)

I don't want any 'DLC exclusives' or timed exclusives. But that's going to happen. I don't actually think I want to hear about The Last Guardian either, nor an announcement of The Last of Us 2 (I'm still hoping for a new Naughty Dog IP, which is very possible although it probably wouldn't be announced here).

I don't want to see anything with '2' after it.

Allow me to elaborate. I mean at least try to give your sequel an interesting title. Try to avoid 'Rise Of'.

The main thing I want to see is cool and interesting games, so the last thing I want to see at this E3 (and any E3) is non game related stuff. I don't care about how many new apps you've added to your system or how many new Streaming Services and/or TV Channels it can support. I don't care about your plans to make your system the centre of my living room universe. I just want to see games.

I'd rather have 2 than any subtitle beginning with the letters re. How many revelations can game franchises have?

OT: EA better not devote half their conference to sports again. Being a Briton a week before the world cup I've had my fill of sports-related media already. That and they better not bring out a car again.

Nintendo announcing that the remaining line-up of Smash Bros. character roster consists of:

Queen Honey Bee
Mii's
Solid Snake
Metal Mario
and Lucas

Ok, so not necessarily those characters, just rather not recreate another Mario Kart situation with five baby characters.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, and then like maybe three or four "Big Name" companies getting literally all the attention. I remember in 'the good old days' of X-Play when damn near EVERYTHING at E3 was covered. Yes, you had your focus on the next Halo or whatever, but there was also coverage of small games, or niche games, or games that most people will never hear about nowadays because they aren't the big popular ones. And I loved that.
Now though, it seems like all reporters do is focus on maybe two or three games at the show and that's it. It makes E3 feel really small and unwelcoming to me. Sure, I want to hear about Destiny, but I don't want you to devote two whole days to the game. Talk about other stuff out there, the stuff that the public isn't aware of just yet because we can't get inside.

Models in skimpy clothing. I'm insulted at the amount of publishers who think I'll buy Call of Honour 12: Modern Battlefield just because they put some pretty girl in a bikini in front of their booth. I love pretty girls in bikinis and everything but I'm not a horny lonely 35 year old virgin because I have an Xbox.

A greater focus on the 3DS than the Wii U. One of those two need more games whereas the other is massively successful at this point. Of course I've just read about some unannounced 3DS game that's going to get a 90 minute showing e.e Well there's always Nintendo Direct.

More sequels that begin with RE (reloaded, returns, revenge, etc.)

A teased big-name game that turns out to be exclusively mobile...like the new Hitman...

Multiplat-games that were slated for the Wii U being quietly (or not) taken off of that platform

The next big Zelda being controlled exclusively with the Wii-Mote/Nunchuck

Celebrity endorsements from chumps who were paid just to be there to fill time and tell bad jokes

Another bait and switch trailer showing something vague then after a quick reveal is just another sequel we knew was coming eventually, like that cloaked figure walking desert turning out to be the Master Chief

I'm hoping it doesn't require any stupid, broken touch gestures in like the DS Zeldas. Not counting the WW:HD and 3DS games where touchscreen use was for menus or extra buttons, since 2006 Nintendo has been forcing broken controls in otherwise good Zelda games. I don't want to have to flip up with a stylus to throw a bomb or boomerang or any other nonsense that won't work half the time..

Anything that is obviously too ambitious to actually happen, and is a blatant lie to get pre-orders. ie, Aliens Colonial Marines demo, Watch_Dogs E3 Gameplay demo, The Xbox One having something other than TV (Heyoo!)

Also, more games having mobile or tablet support. Im sick of it already.

I don't want another version of what happened last E3, I don't want one side to sway over the other, it makes the internet and gamers far too predictable when that happens.

Don't want any special specific tablet crap, I know I own a Nexus 7 but really it's just not ready/ there yet to become more integrated into my gaming sessions.

No tits, booth babe type people please, I get pretty bummed out seeing website after website, forum after forum full of sexism talks (which the Escapist users seem really super fond of at any chance).

MS not to suck and not to fall over so easily like last year.

Sony not to try basing their show of a few of MS's mistakes, please that was obvious last year more than anything.

Also more than anything I don't want to ever see another spin like Watch Dogs ever again, back in 2012 that got me pretty damn hyped, after 2 years the hype was pretty much dead, the game ending up like something different to what was seen/ promised and in the end pushed me so far away from wanting it, I want to see honest footage and honest people putting forth their games to be so I can become interested and buy into a little of the hype and hopefully by release have an actual great time with said games along with the hopefully validated hype (apart from my Titanfall hype that was apparently not allowed amongst the cool kids).

Ooh, that's a good one that I somehow totally forgot about.

It seemed like phone/tablet integration was such a big push last year and yet (not surprisingly) not much really came of it in ways anyone ended up caring about. I'm curious to see if they keep pushing that or if they do let it die. Like you, I'd rather not see it but it does have me curious.

I'd be totally on board with it once we reach the era that we've been seeing in science fiction movies, that would be totally rad, but we're nowhere near there yet (well maybe by a stretch) and our medium keeps telling us each E3 that the future is here, we buy into what tiny hype that generates, download an app and find out it's not so futuristic, either that or we "bought the wrong device" wink wink nudge nudge MS/Sony *cough*.

Streaming from one device to the other is certainly catching up though but even with my tablet I remain uninterested until I start seeing what we've seen in the movies of the past 3 decades happen within our livingroom at full mast and not half =P.

Them not putting any focus on that aspect at this years E3 or any other event won't really dampen future development or hinder it, it just means there can be more attention and focus on what we actually need/want that we can have now rather than empty promises of future tech later that might turn up half baked like we have seen happen many times in the past.

King, EA Mobile, or any number of mobile devs having a booth that isn't ritually destroyed and burned day one.

I also, oddly, don't want BG&E2 to show up. It's... well quite frankly at this point the only way it can exist is as a soulless abomination reanimated from a long-dead corpse, who wears the skin of something you once loved only warped and degraded from time and death until it gnaws on your soul just gazing upon it. (It's rumored to be an Xbone exclusive)

I also don't want people to announce their new MOBAs. Although, being chronically late to the party, EA is going to announce their own MOBA made in order to topple LoL/DotA2 that they're pouring 350million into.

One last thing: Epic, don't show up at all unless you're prepared to say the following three words: "Assault. Is. Back."

What do we not want? Pretty much everything we'll see because this is the Games Industry, where out of touch and missing the point is par for the course.

Multimedia features are cool but don't dedicate half your conference to them. Please.

"Gameplay" demos.

Showing off great graphics at a reveal and doing a bait and switch on them when the game comes out.

Showing off games that are obviously meant for an audience that won't be watching E3. Variety's nice and I have nothing against the games themselves, but just saying.
