Good point, but why would it? It feels like Michel Ancel's been dead in the water for years, except for the part where his little cipher of Ubisoft keeps crapping out Rayman Everything and Rabbids Everything. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even remember why Jade has that specific name or why Pey'j is an anthro pig.

I'm kidding, of course, but it really does feel like Ubisoft's thrown everything that's *not* Assassin's Creed or Watch Dogs under the rug.

Personally, though, I'd hate to see the Big Three pushing Freemium titles as if they were some sort of huge event. If anything filters out about The Sims 4 being riddled with microtransactions, I'll pop a blood vessel.

I'm also crossing fingers for there *not* to be some kind of overblown focus on second-screen experiences.

That line up doesn't look offensively bad. It's disappointing in parts, sure, but that's entirely subjective.

All kidding aside, gameplay! Finally, motherfucking gameplay!

Unfortunately, we've waited for so long that I more or less expect the game to maybe *play* well, but *look* a tad underwhelming. Basically Last-Gen (Current-Gen? Do the new consoles already warrant the use of the "Current-Gen" label?) with a few extra bells and whistles.

Last years E3 had way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much of this shit, granted it was an E3 at the beginning of a new console generation, but this year it's past launch, and well past the need to push hardware and engine demos, it's time to talk about the games.

Focus on the games. I don't care if they're sequels, but I want to hear less about how a console is capable of combining television and gaming. Aside from that, I'm good. I don't care if a game is a sequel since it still gives me a chance to be genuinely interested in something.

I really, really do not want Gabe Newell to walk out during the sony conference, or the microsoft conference, or just yelling it in the middle of the games hall, and announce Half Life 3. Also more than anything I don't want to ever see another spin like Watch Dogs ever again, back in 2012 that got me pretty damn hyped, after 2 years the hype was pretty much dead, the game ending up like something different to what was seen/ promised and in the end pushed me so far away from wanting it, I want to see honest footage and honest people putting forth their games to be so I can become interested and buy into a little of the hype and hopefully by release have an actual great time with said games along with the hopefully validated hype (apart from my Titanfall hype that was apparently not allowed amongst the cool kids).

Just a question, what did you consider them lieing about with Watch Dogs? I don't recall them pulling a ACM on us and I have the game.

OT: Most of the issues have already been said, no lies or switches, some new IPs not just sequals, Nintendo announcing more games for their system (non mario/zelda preferably) and XBO/PS4 having more games on their systems too.

I don't want to see Square if they aren't talking about the two games people have been shitting themselves over since last E3. Seriously, even if it's just another trailer of just one of those that doesn't tell us anything, at least that's some hype and acknowledgement that it's in the works. Hell, if they had just waited on that KH 2.5 trailer, or even the last bit, until E3, that would probably have held most fans over until the next teaser. But no, now we expect something. Even with them telling us not to, you've been hyping it up that we would before hand, only to tell us a few days before the convention that we can fuck off? No Square, I will not let these projects become the next HL3. Keep us updated, and keep working. Don't leave us in the dark. Don't. Fuck us.

So I hope you learned your lesson from Dead Island along with countless others and will provide more gameplay trailers.

The game sold five million and the trailer was still being talked about at launch. I'd say the lesson here is that hype rules and if you want to make a success, DO show a heavily produced trailer and nothing about the game itself for as long as possible.

If the consumer wants different, they should stop buying games based on these trailers and bullshots and phony "vertical slices." Until then, expect more bullshots and gameplay free trailers and fake "vertical slices."

Anyway, this looks mostly like a list of things we do want. a Kinect-free future for Microsoft, Vita support from Sony, and games for the Wii U. All respectable goals.

Mostly, I just want to see good games.

I don't want to see anything with '2' after it.

Allow me to elaborate. I mean at least try to give your sequel an interesting title. Try to avoid 'Rise Of'.

I'd rather have them numbered so I can readily identify which game comes first. Subtitles would be okay, but, numbers are useful.
