Using only ONE pokemon to beat a game. I had no understanding of how a balenced team worked.
This. Clefable was the Pokemon I would always use since it should learn a varitey of moves. It usually became so powerful it wouldn't listen to me.
Speaking of Pokemon; In Pokemon Yellow instead of catching another pokemon to defeat Brock, I just leveled up my Pikachu till it could quick-attack it to death.

Also; In the 1st Spyro I thought the 4th hub world was so scary. The Metal Boss I found so scary I had to get my dad to do it. Mushy Bog was another level I found scary. Looking back, I don't remember what I found frighting about it.

I remember a few years ago when my brother was quite young I tried to show him Counterstrike 1.5

He was terrified until I showed him that you can go the terrorist side. He was cool with that...

I saved Spyro the Dragon as I was plummeting to my death, and I only had one life left. I could never play the game from that point onward because I just kept dying.

I used to talk to the people in-game. Still do, so I guess that doesn't count...

I always jumped on enemies, even in other games which weren't Mario or Sonic. Made me hate Crash Bandicoot.

I remember wanting to buy a game simply because it was a game and it had a catchy title. I ended up with massive amounts of terrible games that I never looked twice at.

I also remember distantly how afraid I was of games with real dark and moody atmosphere. I can recall a time when I was playing Warhammer 40,000: Firewarrior and being dreadfully afraid of what would come when I reached the Chaos areas. Most of the problem was the lighting on my television, but it still got me bad when Raptors would appear out of nowhere.
Wasnt firewarrior released like two years ago....

I remember playing wolfenstien on an old mac when I was a kid- and I was terrified of the boss on level 3 with the gatling gun arms... that shit was scary

When i played Max Payne 2 i found a way to see Monas tits by moving the camera in the right angle (there were nipples too).
If that's not stupid, i don't know what is.

Well, I'm still a minor, and since no one here really knows who I actually am I'm gonna share something horribly horribly bad... I sometimes get bored in sandbox style games, GTAIV, skate, you know what I mean, and I start making up my own little stories and objectives. Not too bad right? The bad part is I, more often than not, start talking to my t.v.

By the way, DON'T GET HOME SCHOOLED KIDS!!!

Oh, and when I was a young 'un I actually built up my parties in the Final Fantasy games, including tactics (by the way if you haven't played it find a way now) on the characters relationship compatibility. I had the guides with all the back stories to all the characters and everything...

I sold my NES and all 25+ games, biggest mistake ever. And I'm only 18 right now, glad my parents decided to start me off with the originals, you can't appreciate games until you've played the old ones. Well, I guess you can appreciate game, but then you end up appreciating the Wii, and then I want to smack you upside the head and say "NO."

< mastered SimCity without tutorials or help. I loved that game... I feel your pain on trying to figure out wtf my city wasn't growing or was dying.

Firewarrior was released in 2001-2002, if memory serves correctly.
