We aren't the only nation in the world that's started a war. Let's look at a few other examples:

Hamas - exists solely to destroy Israel
Nazi Germany - We all know this one
Soviet Union - Even more expansionist than the above
China - Executes its own citizens merely for an opinion contrary to the government's
Iran - Same as the above, except worse
Various African groups - Just look at how many genocides have occurred there.
And finally, there was Iraq - Responsible for mass genocide and featured the same government brutality of the above. Now, maybe the war was wrong, but losing that government definitely didn't hurt anyone.

Either way, no other country does as many humanitarian efforts as the United States. Honestly, yes, maybe we have acted like assholes in the past but we are definitely not the biggest ones out there.

Ok first of all, look at the list you just put the USA on. I think Iran might take issue with being on that list as well, yes they have some very serious issues with the way they treat women and they hate the USA on the other hand American rednecks have been to mistreat women and hate their own president. Also maybe not as many humanitarian efforts would not have been needed if various American companies hadn't induced the situations, I refer here to nestle and the baby formula debacle and to the modified seed that has been sold to African nations that does not develop seed on its own forcing them to buy crop seed every season.

Thank you. I'm an American living in Brazil and I've seen, heard, and done things that could wipe the naive out of anyone. I love Brazil to death, but by God, living here has me proud to be an American.

I kind of actually meant go out and see the rest of the world first-hand. But I thought about it more and it's actually kind of the same thing. The only difference is that hands-on experience is the best education.

No, I didn't. I listed governments that pretty much prove that American isn't that bad compared with what else is out there.

Everyone in the world has done something that an asshole would do. That doesn't make them an asshole all the way 'round.

American rednecks? Are you serious? I used to live in Tennessee and I know a hell of a lot of rednecks and they are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Domestic abuse cases are worldwide, my friend, you can't just point to the US here.

My mistake concerning nestle I offer a full retraction and the Rednecks comment was a cheap shot. However how can you say that my comment about the second amendment was off topic, it is a stupid idea that should have stayed in somebody's head, even in the context in which it was enacted it should have been easy to extrapolate how it could cause large amounts of trouble.
