The next morning I check to see if the same light, which I've now dubbed the "vase light" is still on. Unsurprisingly, it is. So I call up the dealership and explain the problem and they schedule an appointment for next week, because the car is driving fine.
So I'm tooling along the highway, glancing at this light wondering what it could be. I notice the little teeth marks on the bottom could be tire treads. Pretty much as soon as I notice this I also notice that there is a very light wobble in the car. So I pull over to the nearest gas station and cancel my dealership appointment, and call AAA for what looks to be a partially flat front tire. Tire guy shows up, gets me enough air to get to his tire shop and checks for leaks. He was pretty confident it was a slow leak, but after checking they all appeared to be fine. Turned out it just got particularly cold the night before, and that was enough to deflate the tire until it looked flat.
Needless to say I felt pretty stupid about the whole thing. Maintaining tire pressure is pretty basic car maintenance stuff, and is especially important as the weather changes. On my old car this wasn't as much of a problem...because it didn't have the light.
So when was the last time you all did something that stupid?
