the most confusing of all things of course, the title will of course be

Hm. Well, from personal experience I mean most of the things I say without hidden intention. When some use it, The difference is that sometimes it's for convenience/ trying to save feelings/ wanting something.

Bob and Jane have been together for a year now, they are booth in collage but are taking the semester off. (I am not in collage so that might have not made sense but bear with me here)
Bob comes home from work at the Music shop where he works to find Jane a little reclusive and edgy. Bob not being a idiot asks Jane what is the matter with her but she says nothing is wrong. In reality Jane is upset that Bob doesn't spend enough quality personnel time with her. Bob has in fact done this inadvertently but shrugs it off seeing as how she said nothing is the matter and assumes "it's one of those days" he is also very tired from several annoying interactions he had to deal with at work so he decides not to prod further.
why wouldn't Jane Tell bob the truth? assuming she is in relative Healthy condition mental and emotional wise?

Well, i'm assuming that Jane is putting the fact that Bob needs money second to how she's feeling. She wants him to notice that she's unhappy but doesn't want to make him feel bad.
It's all personality wise too, she could just be a conceited ***** who's saving up ammo in case they have an argument.

Ah. I can't vouch for this one. I rarely ever go shopping without reason, I normally go straight to wherever i need to go, buy what I need and leave. But a friend of mine who has this habit and i quote 'because there might be something i might need in there and I really should check it out in case'.

Defend them. Most of my girl friends defend these habits with gusto. In fact they don't understand how I don't have them.
