Tv in general. stopped watching tv all together years ago. It's garbage. People should spend their time learning and experiencing life.
Maybe you would like more adult oriented shows? Those shows are made for 8 year olds.God said:

The anual resurgance in england of the X-Factor every damn year, its just so fake, i feel myself losing brain cells if I even hear about it, the painful sob stories, the way they all say "its my dream!" that makes me want to vomit, the awful judges, the blatant scripting and the whole media circus and public frenzy it stirs up, all in the name of abominations they try to disguise as music! just stop it people, stop it!
Well, I don't watch much tv because I dislike most of it but I do like Tosh.0, adventure time, top gear(the good one), that 70's show.
I'm convinced that that show is some sort of psychological experiment to see just how far people will sink for entertainment. The real kicker is that is on the TLC channel, The Learning Channel! Gahhhh!!!!saintdane05 said:

It is a popular thing to say that TV or entertainment in general was better . While I agree that the ratio of bad to good is much higher these days there is also so much content that it is hard not to find something you can appreciate on TV.
Personally my biggest disappointment lies in the history channel and what it has become. I can actually sit through some of the crap(and I recognize it is crap) that they play on that channel now and even learn a thing or two. However, the historical documentaries that I would watch while waiting at a hotel or a late sleepless night were always awesome.
I don't have TV now but I do watch a lot of television shows by buying them on Amazon. I don't have the time to record or wait for a show or deal with commercials(I do have time but I am greedy with my leisure time). Shows that I am into now that I adore include:
Homeland
Dexter
Breaking Bad
Walking Dead
Supernatural
Fringe
Game of Thrones
And guilty pleasures like the Arrow, Parks and Rec and as a The Middle(hard not to love as a family man in the midwest that can relate).
There are actually more than this that I just can't think of at the moment. There is no time in television history when there have been so many shows running that I can say I watch every episode of. Call it a wasteland if you want, I just think you aren't looking closely enough at the gems in the rough.

BBT tries to make nerds the butt of the jokes rather than actual geeky humor (in addition to the god awful laugh track) and Family Guy goes for shock and lowest common denominator humor.
I know people will disagree with me on those, but hey... personal opinion and all.
And pretty much all reality television shows. But those are the ones everyone's gonna think of, so I'm not sure how much they count
