Tell me.
i can't. this is kind of why most other countries says Americans are morons. not because they have people like this, god no, we have them too. but i never get why in america they give these money people so large amount of fame and glory and respect when any thinking human being would have tossed them down a gator pit...come to think of it THAT would be the type of reality show i would watch.

Anything which has Seth MacFarlane involved. I cannot stand the things that man tries to pass off as 'comedy'
Aside from that its just the obligatory dislike of reality TV and dreary sitcoms like The Big Band Theory, Two and A Half Men, etc.
Oh, and my own countries attempts at soap operas.
So bad.

What are you talking about man? [sarcasm] Shortland Street is so bloody amazing [/sarcasm]

Though, like Incognitus I can't stand anything that was made by Seth MacFarlane.
I also really, really can't stand shows like Ellen, Rachael Ray etc. Not necessarily because of the host, more because of the fact that their audiences are so damn loud an overly annoying.
Other than that... The only other thing I can think of that I dislike is Regular Show, which people find odd because I like Adventure Time... But I dunno, Regular Show just rubs me in the wrong way y'know?

I'm gonna say it:

Big Bang Theory and Family Guy.

BBT tries to make nerds the butt of the jokes rather than actual geeky humor (in addition to the god awful laugh track) and Family Guy goes for shock and lowest common denominator humor
I can wholeheartedly agree in BBT... I actually had high hopes for an intellectually clever sitcom with a scientific background.
Instead, we get Two and a Half Nerds with the only background physics being the proper equations scribbled on the background boards. And 90% of the "nerd"-jokes are godawful.

Of course I didn't know back then that Chuck Lorre was the guy behind Two and a Half Men as well, that man is probably the worst sexist writer in current TV. Do you know that they got rid of Lesley Winkle because apparently nobody on the show could write for her so really the only women they can write are either a blonde shoe-crazy waitress with a hopeless crush on the main character or one where they just write lines for Sheldon and then put another name in.

Regarding the laughing track... the worst thing is that isn't even canned laughter, it is a genuine studio audience with obviously no standards in humor.

Well first there is Honey Boo Boo simply because making a series about what is most likely the lowest denominator in society is just wrong. Those people need to be forgotten and ignored not being given so much attention.

And than MLP, now i wouldn't hate it so much if it wasn't for its fame. It's just bad like many others but seeing the internet filled with pictures, memes and even discussions about it just hurts my brain. (and sadly i suffer from the curiosity phenomenon and can't just ignore topics about it and always end up regretting my actions)

There are many other bad shows around but because they are either not popular or bad enough i can easily overlook their existence.

Whoever came up with that show is a genius, not the good kind of genius though, the evil kind. I mean all they have to do is point a camera at this family and there you have it, instant money. It makes me sad that it actually worked, shame on anyone who watches the show. I can see the entertainment value in the show though, the same sort of reason that people go to the zoo.

Tv in general. stopped watching tv all together years ago. It's garbage. People should spend their time learning and experiencing life.
For your sake I'm going to assume you are joking.

I'm going to say Gilmore Girls, I've never actually watched it but my sisters spend about 50% of their non-sleeping time watching it and from what I can gather from having it as background noise its pretty much entirely the sort of filler trash you get from the character Gemma in Sons of Anarchy. Just annoying women squawking. Obviously I'm probably completely wrong as I've never actually watched the show, it just makes for some very irritating background noise.

I cant stand that show "revolution" on NBC, It assumes anyone watching it it either a massive idiot, or has a strong suspension of disbelief, and I have neither, although it is fun to riff if you have friends and a basic understanding of 19-20th century technology.

XD well someone had to do it. I don't actually hate it, I just don't like it. The things that really insult my intelligence are shows like Jersey Shore or Teen Mums.

Seriously though, I hope the people on those shows burn to death in a fire.

Nowadays a question that would be easier to answer would be: "What shows don't you hate?"

So yeah, almost everything, with a couple of exceptions, like Doctor Who and Game of Thrones.
You sir, deserve a Cookie.

Pretty much what he said, close to the exceptions listed. Doctor Who, Revolution, Adventure Time and MLP:FiM are basically the only TV shows I'll watch.

I don't watch shows that I don't like. And well forget them for the most part. I don't like Broney but that's a fan base, not the show. So I can't think of a show I "Hate." I am just apathetic toward most of them.

The only two TV shows I watch are Breaking Bad and Dexter. (Actually at the time of posting there is a new episode for me yay!) I can't stand It's Always Sunny. The concept is to make the characters as unlikable as possible and it works.

so I was curious and wanted to know the most hated shows on the escapist. so what shows do you hate more than others lists would be appreciated. here are mine: Jhonny Test, Winx club, and Monster high.

captcha: road less travelled. Is it captcha?
I find it takes a lot of effort to "Hate" a stupid show. And as a result I hate no stupid shows. Want to know why?

I only watch things online. Through BBC iPlayer or 4OD. I have not watch terrestrial TV in... About 4 months? And when I did, I only really watched the Simpsons. Or the news.

Ya see, I do not think sitting down and pointlessly watching things is a good idea. In reality I think it is a total waste of time. I watch things that have been recommended to me by friends or that I hear of on my trawls around the internets. So I genuinely cannot name any stupid shows that I hate because I have not watched something I have not enjoyed in a very very long time and hate takes a lot of effort.

I will not hate or dismiss something out of hand either. I mean, whilst I will never watch Holby City (I prefer things like House if I must watch a medical drama.) I cannot bring myself to "Hate" it. Sure, I watched an episode once and I found it comically bad but not worthy of hate.

One should not hate pop culture because it is popular. Hell, unless you disagree with something on a moral level or it genuinely disgusts you, I fail to understand how you can hate it. Bleh, its an overused word and I am overthinking this. Meh. I forgot my original point.

I will summarize this:
- I hate nothing because I do not watch things I know I will dislike.
- I have learnt that judgement should not be passed without watching something. Comes as a result of studying Media and Cultural studies I guess and the whole "High Culture vs Low Culture" elitism. I mean, seriously, I cannot just hate something because I feel it is beneath me, hating something cause it is popular is fucking stupid and just turns you into an elitist snob. Unless you are hating hipsters for being popular. I mean, That is just meta.

Particular shows are hard to name, I'll just lump in the entire genre whcih is dubiously called 'reality' tv. I know people who watch that Honey Boo Boo, or whatever the hell it is, thing ironically but I tried watching a bit of it and... I am not a monster BUT that child needs to die along with her whole family. These shows encourage people to act like insufferable dicks and get rewarded for that kind of behavior. This needs to stop people.

Masterchef, specifically the UK version but I am happy to hate kids versions, the Australian version, if America has a version I'll hate that too.

I like cooking shows, but Masterchef pisses me off. From the narrator's annoying as fuck voice to the holier-than-thou because we have superior palates judges, ugh argh just I hate it. Hate.

I didn't mind the 90s Lloyd Grossman version, but as they say, you can't go home again. :(

the "singing contests", Glee and Here comes Honey Boo Boo.
Though Honey Boo Boo is like a car crash. you know you will see crazy s@@t, but you just cant resist watching it. For some reason i prefer the honey BooBoo family over the Trumps too, so the world is a crazy place.
