Stupid things you spend a lot of money on?

So, i'm making this thread purely because I just spent a quite frankly massive amount of money on a stormtrooper outfit because i've been sensible all year. Its going to be pretty sweet. I want to know what things you wonderful escapists spend your money on, so I feel less guilty about spending more money on an outfit than some people do on holidays and because you guys generally do pretty cool stuff.

1) Beads. I make beaded necklaces and bracelets and I spend hideous amounts of money on beads.

2) Books. I read like a fiend, see above

3) DVDs. I like owning my copies of a show/movie instead of renting them

4) Computer Games, natch.

I've spent stupid amounts of money on comic books in the past, but I've stopped collecting about 5 years ago. Still that collection is worth more then anything else I own (except my home, but the bank own that really...)

Besides that I recently booked my flight/hotel to the Escapist Expo, and I still haven't managed to get the time of work for that... so that might become a collosal waste of money as well...

the action figures.....I just bought a set of 4 online (Mass effect series 2)

not to mention 3 of those super expensive "play arts" figures, Adamnjensen, the big guy and the stealth ***** from deus ex:HR (the big guys leg broke off and i have no Idea *where* it broke)

and now I see there may be a "play arts" figure of Garrus (and ashley)...2 Garruses? (why not)

I bought "the complete" V for vendetta without realising I didnt need too if I wanted to read the thing...looks nice

oh and comics...and games...

I don't spend money on stupid things because the things I spend money on aren't stupid.

Ok for real, I spend ludicrous amounts on LEGO. I also buy figurines/statues of pop-culture-y things for my various display cabinets.
