Apparently I'm not allowed to buy Alpha Protocol. I bought it knowing the reviews were bad, it's just that I liked what I saw, and I got exactly what I was hoping for. But somehow whenever it gets mentioned people roll their eyes and say it was stupid of me to have bought it, before they have even played it!
Bah, so annoying.

Whenever someone gets into a game and outright throws its initial primary selling point into the bin.

Recently read a review of someone who got to play with SWTOR at E3 this year saying: "I don't want story in my MMO, I just wanna grind!!!" and I couldn't help but facepalm IRL. Why are you dissing the very thing with which Bioware announced SWTOR would differ from other MMOs? I mean sure - you can say that the story could be tightened up or that it doesn't quite make as much sense as it should to you, but to just dismiss the primary selling point as outright uneeded? I'm sorry, but you're a straight up idiot for saying that.

He does hate the game for no other reason than he sucks at it. He liked it for the first two bosses.

My stupidest reason is probably that game X has omnipresent enemies. Far Cry 2, BF:BC, RF: guerrilla, when ever a game has enemies that know where you are the second you do anything I find it hard to actually like it.

I think any reason people have to not play a game is good enough. I don't care if someone else is into a game I love or not. If something spoils a game for them it's a legitimate reason to me.

These. It's especially annoying when I play on the PS3. Apparently, Killzone is the gay because it's on the PS3 and everyone knows that only the good games are on Xbox durr.... (I know the Xbox has good games, and I enjoy playing on it. I like the PS3 better, they both have good games. Some fanboys (on both sides) can't acknowledge that)
Another one is "it's not shiny enough." I'm serious. I was playing MAG and a friend who had just come over said that it must suck because it isn't shiny enough. I then asked him what was "shiny enough." He thought about it shrugged, and joined me in LBP, where I proceeded to slap him every time he tried to make a challenging jump.
And really, we need blood/violence/tits in every game? Then those wouldn't be "edgy" or "cool" anymore.

Good thing Pac-Man is free of this train of thought. In Pac and Pal, there was a gun power-up. Every other power-up had to be shot as well. I've had to bring this up when some Twat would say it sucks due to a lack of guns. Sadly, no one believes me, and replies that pac-man is crap because it "doesn't take any skill." Really?

Graphics, a game should be judged by how it plays not how it looks i.e. Starcraft or Red Alert 2, their really good games but compared to todays graphics don't look so smooth. If the games came out now looking like they do, you'd get the "graphics are important" club saying they were rubbish because they are "ugly"
