Weren't allowed to be near the library unless we were working and the librarians would give us detention if we were nearby the library and not working even if we were completely quiet. Couldn't wear any shirt with a perticular type of message, my friend Chad had a shirt that said "Orgasms for Peace" and he was sent home, another person I knew had a shirt that said "fricken' sweet" and he was sent home.

I remember a student at my school started a mini revolution in which he stormed out of a classroom and called the teacher a "Facist pig". After hearing that I was thinking "Hey what if we all did shit like that? Are there any precautions to prevent in-school revolution?" I know this is kinda off-topic, but I think if anyone is dealing with a perticularily stupid rule at school they should revolt against it.
I did do a revolution...against student council, teachers and idiots in the hallways. We had about 60 dedicated students and 30 expendables for the cause. We actually did stuff though like oragnized the kissing booth incident, destroyed the P.A system because it was right above our lockers and very very lould, stole the door handles off of a locked car because the owner was a prick, marched out of class barricaded the cafetiera while we took food from it, and buried cars with snow and ice in the winter. We made a glacier! We also ran the contraband item's smuggling operation in the dorm. Nothing serious like guns though just airsoft and paintball guns, booze, caffine, junk food, dirty maginzes and forbidden movies books music games etc. Bets one we did was get a 42' tv in without anyone noticing and it stayed their for 6 months of the year! And we knew the camera system codes and were to cut power at the right time and everything. I miss high school now...
Rock on man, I support this. I also support a less mischievous revolution as well as a potentially more mischievous revolution. Any in-school revolution that isn't violent you have my support.

This year, La-Lumiere has one stating that you cannot have headphones or ear-buds worn at any point in the school day. Not during Lunch. Not during Study Hall. Nor during Free Period...kinda random if you ask me...BUT you can have speakers(?)...or so I've heard, and that just makes it more confusing. Also, socks must be worn above the ankles. Yes, we must ward off anyone with an ankle-fetish!

Yes, because people Google pictures of ankles for a creepy fetish. It's awkward when they figure out the gender of the ankle latter on...

Also the idea of unifors annoys me badly!
My school had uniforms and you clearly have no idea just how much trouble the prevent, It practically erases a whole aspect of bullying, in that you cant get slagged for what you wear because everyone is wearing the exact same thing.
I refuse to wear a uniform; to me it symbolizes subservience and being like everyone else...two things I am against.

I stitched a hammer & sickle into my mp3 player's wrist strap thing. I'm going to start arguments if anyone tells me to take it off, fascist bastards.
Yes, you are a rebellious youth. Just like everyone else. By the way, unless you stole that MP3 player stitching a hammer and sickle to it demonstrates that you don't even understand that symbol(EA doing that in Red Alert 3 still pisses me off), do you even know the symbolism behind it? If you do already then I stand corrected on at least one count but if you don't I don't expect a honest answer, what with wikipedia in existence. At any rate, putting that symbol on things purchased with capital from your capitalist overlords is like buying a Che Guevara T-shirt from the Gap.
I am not attempting to be a "rebellious youth". I am a communist and I will wear it in pride of my beliefs.

I purchased nothing; both the strap and sewing materials were a gift from my grandmother.

Communism doesn't work. Time has proven that.
Wearing that badge either means you look like a rebellious youth or someone who doesn't know jack about politics.

In my freshman year of high school, we had a policy they referred to as "Lockout", wherein if you are late to a class, you automatically are not allowed to go, and instead have to go sit in one of the old, unused bungalows for the entire period. It basically gave any kid a free excuse to get out of a class they didn't want to deal with that day by just walking really slowly. Absolutely retarded.

In addition, I've always found the idea of suspension (and, up to a point, expulsion) to be entirely illogical. A kid breaks a rule, so you punish him by taking away his education? Not only are you basically condemning the child to be more stupid than he already is, but you're also likely taking away one of the things that most annoys him. Really sharp work there, school system.

Of course, the things you can get suspended or expelled for vary so much as to border on the ridiculous. I was suspended only twice in my years of public schooling - once because I had a little grooming tool (the kind with a nail cleaner/filer thing) that apparently could have been used as a weapon, the other time for breaking a kid's nose in a fight that he started, and I finished. Both times I was suspended for a week. Tell me that makes any sense.

So uuhh, you know, you'd rather be different and get beaten up because you're wearing something someone deems "stupid".

...I think I'll stick too the uniform and wait until college, seeing as college allows you to wear whatever you want within reason, or at least, most do.

For real, I'm tired of hearing posts of "OH IF I WEAR SOMETHING DIFFERENT I'LL GET BEATEN UP"
What kid beats up someone because of their cloths??????
A chav/bully.

I've been beaten up cause of my cloths before so yeah don't take it fucking lightly.

Communism has never been implemented on any large scale in recorded history. Therefore, saying communism doesn't work is like saying the Tooth Fairy doesn't leave money under your pillow.

Baseless but true?
The only reason communism doesn't work is because it does not, and never has, existed.

Well then, I do in fact stand thoroughly corrected, I have seen others wearing communist symbols in an attempt to be different and thought I saw another case. I apologise.

That's pretty low, those people that hurt you seriously need to find other things to put their mind on rather than their peers' clothing.

"So, how do you call me?"
"Uhh... Amy?"
"HAHAHAHAH NOOOOOO."

She's one scary English teacher.
Oh, and we can wear whatever we want in our high school. Actually, this applies to pretty much all of them around.

Elementary school, no real rules, but the librarian was a *****. She felt that I took too long to choose a book one day and she called for a parent teacher conference. I wasn't aloud to leave until I chose a book.
Middle school: Really? Nothing too bad. Oh, only natural hair colors.
High school: Standard rules, gum, Ipods (aloud between classes), hats. We get 5 minutes to cross a quartermile campus between classes, no breaks. We can't get to our lockers except at the beginning of the day and the end, so if you forgot a binder or a text book, you're screwed for the day. On wednesdays, people with certain classes have to dress up in a full suit and tie.

When I was in highschool, they wouldn't allow us to wear spegetti-stap tanks or t-shirts with any kind of advertisement, they also measures the length of shorts & skirts. They'd confinscate them & make you wear something from Lost & Found.

Thare was also that stupid Columbine Scare. For about a week, we had guards positioned at the school doors checking students' bags for wepons. That didn;t go over real well for the school.

There was also a policy from the grocery store across the street that only allowed 3 students from our school at a time in the store, & they had to leave their backpacks at the door.
