I am punished if I say jesus god or holy.

As in exclaiming something along the lines of "sweet jesus that's a huge onion".

Personally I dont see the uniform rule as such as big deal since I've allways been forced to use uniform ever since I've been in school.
But I do have to agree that the liberty of choosing is much better(hooray for college)

They threatened suspension for me rolling down this ramp at my high school. It's not like anyone was around for me to roll into.

We have the usual School rules here, no Super Cleavage, no butt cracks, pants should be worn at the waist, no excessive PDA, not that anyone listens to that rule. But the one rule, which im sure all of you had a degree of contact with. No Electronics, it started last year; the school district intiated a new policy for control of electronic devices, a 'Three Strikes' rule. First Strike, A warning from the teachers, and it is taken to the office, Second strike, it is taken away and a parent must be present to retrive it. Last strike, its either taken away for the rest of the year, or Mr. Sweet punts it out the window. No Joke; however, the district decided that wasn't hardcore enough, they made it two strikes, First one, parents have to retrive the device, second, Mr Sweet puts it into a blender.

Irony of it all? Mircrosoft is just an hour away, and they produce about half of the electronics that are blended.

Also the idea of unifors annoys me badly!
My school had uniforms and you clearly have no idea just how much trouble the prevent, It practically erases a whole aspect of bullying, in that you cant get slagged for what you wear because everyone is wearing the exact same thing.
I refuse to wear a uniform; to me it symbolizes subservience and being like everyone else...two things I am against.

I stitched a hammer & sickle into my mp3 player's wrist strap thing. I'm going to start arguments if anyone tells me to take it off, fascist bastards.
If you saw someone with the nazi symbol stiched onto whatever, what would you say?
Don't hunt me down? <.< sorry couldnt help myself...

I would scowl and walk away.

Don't act like they're the same thing. Nazism and communism are completely opposite.

My school has security checkpoints and metal detectors at all entrances.

Problem is, there are so many people at my school that the security workers can't take more than a second to look through you're bags, otherwise it would take far too long, plus half the time they don't care if the metal detectors go off, for the same reason.

In fact, the security checkpoints are such a useless waste of time that I once snuck in a large hunting knife just to prove that I could easily do so.
I can see them not caring about the metal detectors. There are just so many times you can hear them go off over a harmless object and still take them serious.

Anyway, a lot of the rules posted are beyond ridiculous. Some of them even seem illegal, I think the principal who forbade water could have gotten in serious trouble if someone sued him (and if the legal machine doesn't jam, which may very well happen.)

My High School had a 'points' system. Basically different offenses inflicted a different number of points and students would be punished according to their accumulated points rather than the actual offense.

The whole thing was a joke to the entire student body and the majority of the faculty. Perhaps the funniest thing was that it was about twice as many points for calling in a false bomb threat than bringing a bomb to school.
like in harry poter?

Oh, hey! A swastika! That must mean you belong to one of those neo-modern Indian religous groups, right?

That aside I found another stupid rule

"School officials will have the option to clear all spectators from games/sporting events so the game may continue. There would be no refund of admission."

There's not really a point to playing the big game if no one watches it.

It wasn't really a rule, persay. My subschool administrator* was talking about school shootings, and what to do if one should occur. He mentioned that no one should try to stop the shooter (reasonable enough, reduce casualties by not going near the crazy gunman). However, afterwards I asked him what I should do if the guy came up to me and pointed the gun at my head (this was in 9th grade, right after I had gotten my black belt and learned how to disarm people). He told me that I should just turn around and walk away. WTF? I then asked what if we knew how to disarm the guy and the administrator just repeated what he said.

tl;dr- if a gun is pointed at my face the right thing to do would be turn around and walk away.

After that I never trusted school officials. Escpecially the one who walked out of school in a really nice and expensive looking fur coat to meet a similarily colored Lexus, got in, sat there for about five minutes, then got out and came back inside the school. Never knew what that was about.

*In my school we were divided up alphabetically into four subschools. Then, inside of that subschool, we were divided up again alphabetically into four or some number more sections. This guy happened to be the guy who was in charge of my section of my subschool.

Back in my Middle School had a lot of Retarded rules..

- In summer we had to wear these Fucking Stupid looking Bucket Hats 'To protect us from harmful UV rays' and to keep our skin a healthy Pale colour.

- We weren't allowed Cellphones, MP3 players or even Calculators. Our school's motto might as well have been: TECHNOLOGY... BAAAAADDD

- a NO KISSING RULE. because it spreads meningitis or some shit.

- The Classic 'No littering rule' which my school STRICTLY ENFORCED, with Fascist Efficiency.

Luckily, When I went to High School, There were none of these Rules.
