*SPOILER*

the ending of the twilight series 4 book set... like wtf i was all geared up for a huge fight... and it just turned into an "oh okay well looks like we're done here, good luck to you all don't get into trouble okay?" like wtf was that? i was so pissed off i almost threw the book. it was such CRAP. i didn't want no "happily ever after" ending, IT'S VAMPIRES FOR CHRIST SAKE!! there should be some big fight, people die, and a clear definite winner/loser scenerio. its like an open ending that she'll never finish writing about, like there are so many continuations that even I can think of. actually i'm sure my 2 yr old daughter can probably think of a better ending then what the author gave.

stupid crap i say. STUPID!

Ending the way the Darren Shan saga did. CURSE YOUUUU! You were headed for nigh perfection, and you swerved wildly out to the side! Control yourself Darren!
I've actually been thinking of reading that series. (I'm desperately searching for a good vampire series and so far, Anne Rice's stuff is the best I've run into. But I'm looking for something with a little more heart-pounding action and not so much ' vampire struggling with his blood lust and his morals')
Shan does have some moralsy stuff going on, but it has some action too. I loved it (apart from the end) and recommend it.

Someone's already mentioned the Sword of Truth, and yeah, the ending was pretty...fucking awful, but my main problem is (and this isn't really a spoiler) how halfway through the series, the author decides to ram it down our throats that he's an Atheist and hates Communism. It wouldn't be that bad if every other damned page had Richard making a deeply enlightening speech about the glories of questioning and libertarianism. He changes from a flawed character who is trying his best but gets things wrong a lot, to a bastion of the author's perception of socio-political perfection. It's...really painful.

HarryxGinny, we all know it was put in there purely to help the rabid fangirls achieve OMGNOWAI-gasm. A terrible ending to the book.

DAMNED NINJA!

Basically, the entire flaw of the Sword of Truth is, that, four books in, Goodkind deciedes 'fuck storytelling, let's rape this for teh politics!' and procedes to crowbar in as much hateful, hateful libertarian bullshit as he can. It is truly one of the most hideous literary experiences...ever. God, but that was the day I decieded that libertarianism wasn't worth the recycled toilet paper they printed it on.

Steven Kings The Cell ending. It just ends, nothing to indicate wether his son is cured or not.

As for Twilight >.> Well i can see on one hand how badly written it is and how the whole human falling for a vampire is so overused but something about it keeps me reading it. Hate the movies though.
