So yeah, i just burned down my house in Minecraft for the second time. I thought it would be a good idea to bring lava into the house in a little pool with rocks around it and after i'd watched it for some time and nothing had gone wrong i went to get something in one of my containers the house was burning.. The first time i did it was trying to make a fireplace which went horribly wrong.

So, Escapists, what's the stupidest thing you've done in Minecraft or any video game?

The lava has little sparks that come out of it, these actually do set things on fire =p.

Meh, I was naive enough to think my Minecraft farmer village complete with a church and a small lords manor would be left untouched. Came on one day to find it all burnt, looted and worse (someone actually stole all the bricks I'd used to make the foundations for my buildings, as some of you know those take time to obtain in large quantity >>).

Now the server is secure, as the moderators can reserve land for you and you only, making it impossible for other players to interact with blocks in said areas.

The first time I played Pokemon (original Red- I be old school with my Pokemon) I used my Master Ball on a Ditto.

All through Elementary school, my classmates made fun of me for it.

THIS ONE TIME WHILE CAMPING A MONSTER IN AN MMO I NOTICED MY CAPS LOCK KEY WAS ON SO I TAPPED IT AND IT STARTED SWITCHING BETWEEN PLAYERS AND SUCH. I DIDN'T WANNA TURN ON THE ROOM LIGHTS BUT KEPT HITTING IT WONDERING WHY MY CAPS WAS FCK'D UP SO TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T MISTARGET THE MONSTER POPPING SOON I JUST KEPT IT ON!

Then when I turned on the lights I found out i was hitting the tab key instead of the caps lock key.

I thought it would be funny to kill Keyes in the first level of Halo CE. News Flash: It wasn't. Well, it kinda was. Then I died horribly.

My brother did this not me, albeit it is one of the stupidest things I have seen (and funny). We were playing Fifa 10 with two 0.5 star teams and had the playtime set to maximum. About 2/3's into the game he for some reason became confused about what side of the field he was playing on, and since I had just scored a goal he started with the ball on the midfield. He then proceeded to run the ball from the mid-circle all the way down the field and then scoring an own goal while screaming about 'why his players wouldn't even try defending'. Then he realised what side of the field he was playing on and understandably many laughs were had.

Way back when... I was playing XCOM and had one of my guys arm a grenade (they had timers), then i didn't need it so he put it back in his pack. I was a little surprised when he exploded.

I also had a friend who was playing Heavy Gear. He completed his mission and was returning to base when he realized that he'd never tried out the grenades. So he threw one and caught up to it just in time for it to blow his Gears' leg off. There he was "mission complete" but unable to end it because he was lying on his back with one leg. Awesome.

My former roommate has done a number of stupid things while playing Splinter Cell on the Xbox. The most memorable is when he was shooting out lights to create shadows and suddenly unloaded a whole clip trying to put out the moon.
One time he was playing Splinter Cell when I and my other (former) roommates left to get dinner. After we got dinner, we saw a movie. Several hours later, we got back to find him sitting there still playing Splinter Cell and STILL AT THE SAME CHECKPOINT! We all agreed that watching him play is truly a torturous experience.

I just remembered once in Bad Company 2 in a game of Hardcore Squad Deathmatch that ended up being me and my three mates against another four man team. I was sniping to cover my mates arses' during a sweep of some houses. They shout "ONE'S DOING A RUNNER!!" and then ended up shooting two of my mates in a row through two different windows because everyone is in white and making a lot of movement. I wasn't put on sniper detail again...

I once took on crawmerax in borderlands at level two with my bare fists while my two level 61 friends sat in the elevator laughing their arses off!
