well, as gruesome as that is, I've heard worse stories... for example, parrently somebody dismembered a person, then placed the body parts all over a town in England... at least thats as much as I remember, twas on the news rather a lot a while ago... ermm... also, try going to the Torture Museum in France, way more brutal stuff described there :p

That's the amazing thing about humanity. We're capable of such great feats of science, engineering, humanitarianism, but at the same time, we're capable of such despicable acts. I think the sad thing is most, if not all of us are capable of sinking to the depths of depravity, held back only by a flimsy, subjective moral code or fear of retribution, but it takes more than most of us have or are willing to give to rise up above the rest and become a shining example of humanity at its best.

Sadly, we have to take the good with the bad. Even if we do somehow manage to cure every insane criminal psychopath known to man and ensure that all children grow up in a loving, caring environment, you'll still have people who are perfectly sane, but make a conscious decision to go down the path others call Evil and you'll still have new sociopaths popping up every generation, due to mutation, defect or disease.

Of course, if we could round up these individuals, give them gun and drop them on the planets of alien fucksicles before they manage to get their invasion on, we'll be unstoppable.

Back in the day this kind of story would never have made the light of day.
Jack the Ripper, Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer etc

Sick freaks like this have Always made the light of day...but it doesnt take away anything from how sick it truely is because of that.
I don't mean the ones who kill 30 people. I'm talking about the single murders that are creepy but get resolved because the killer isn't terribly bright. Back in the day the local police would have taken care of this without even a mention to the news.
True, i must have missunderstood the thread, to tired to post really, sorry :)

I agree a lot of bad things happen in the world, but always put into context, that no-one writes about the good things!

To quote Testament... "We live in a fucked up world." Sad, I know, but stories like this pop up all the time which is worse.

That is quite funny, actually.
I wonder what kind of candy got her to confess?
Is one type more effective than another?

I find it rather offensive that they compare it to the Saw movies. The Saw movies are about a guy with a twisted sense of morality, forcing people to pass challenges to escape death and therefore be more grateful for their lives afterwards.

Now, if they'd said the Hostel movies, I'd have agreed.

I think that she is a terrible tudor(I think they did alot of torturing) . She obivously has gone bloody mental and should be sent to live with the chickens.
If by "live", you mean "sleep", and by "chickens", you mean "fish", then I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Yeah... I agree with whoever asked who would ask that thing for sex.

Is it sick? Yes.
Is it depressing? Yes.
Does it happen? Probably more often than we let ourselves think.
Is it surprising? No.
Will it happen again? Yes.

She tortures him and then sets his body on fire to try to hide the evidence but reveals everything for a candy bar? Where do all these psychos come from?

I think "Welcome to humanity" would be a bit more fitting.
And this is why the death sentence needs to be effect everywhere, unless you're happy to pay to keep this scumbag alive. I know I'm not.
