Tomorrow I have to hand in a maths assignment. I couldn't do it and I am going to fail miserably. As you would guess I'm not looking forward to this. Have there been any points in your life you had to just say 'Thats it, I fail'?
I say it a lot actually, but I pull through and give it my best shot. Its almost always worked out for me.
You're the best arouuuund, no one's gonna ever take you down.

I was studying algebra to get into a computer class and ten weeks of studying and I only raised my grade up one letter grade. I decided to quit. If I can't get it what is the point?

What messes me up is the letters and numbers. How does 2=N? Easy, it doesn't. Then there are all those steps to solve one equation. I want it simplified like 5x5=25. But it isn't simplified. I mean there isn't a need for that stuff I shouldn't have to do ten steps of work to find out the answer is 25 when I can times 5x5. Simple and easy.

Just today I had a maths test in which I needed a calculator to figure out the answers. I remembered that, and the night before I spent two hours searching for my damned calculator. Finally, found it, put it directly next to my pencils, Ipod, wallet, and phone(the things I always take with me to school). I walk into the classroom, and remember I forgot the damn thing at home. So I am going to fail that test.

So yes, I'd say I have those moments quite often.

PurpleMath.com. This site has saved me from failing math 2 quaters in a row. Give the site a shot, and you just might figure out math. It's the only thing keeping me passing (besides massive amounts of caffine).

I got an F in Diff Eq. Followed by a D. Followed by a C! (C on that one's required to graduate.)
I also got an F/B in Calc III, and a D/A in Calc I.

Let's just say that engineering schools will BEAT YOU UP.

Then again, I'm an intuitive learner, so traditional studying before a test is somewhat anathema to me.

My standards and expectations for some things are so low though it would be impossible for me to actually fail.

Haha you aren't alone. I am in the upper math class and we are doing some pretty stupid stuff. I can't grasp why we are even doing it or how it helps so I can't visualize it in my head. It sickens me to go through weeks of extra help to only "sort of" get it while everyone else seems to be whizzes at it. Seriously I had an average of 87% in math last year, and because of this I am failing at a 42.5%.......

Reminds me of my Psychology A Level - I totally, totally forgot about an essay that was due in a little over an hour. I chose the inspired subject of Stress, sat down in the library and hammered the books, and ended up with my first A in the subject!

I still have no idea how I got away with that one - I guess I'm good under pressure...

I have had single days like that, but nothing too difficult that I had to just sit down and tell myself that I 'fail' as a person in that department.

I'll tell you what, though -- humans do have limits. Most people would like to think they don't, but some people are not meant for calculus, and others aren't meant for art. Even if they want to be. They can try hard, for their entire lives, and by the end of it, they'll be quite good. But they still won't be able to compete with the natural flukes.

Okay, so I fail at FPSs. And gaining weight. I think those two I'll never quite be able to do.
People think I'm anorexic. That's a fair sign that there's something wrong with me.
