So I got a PS4 last month, and I love it. I missed gaming more than I realized. But after the stupid ass decision to get CoD AW as my first game, and I am already looking for another game (stupid PS+) Anyway, I asked this question on the Playstation Access channel on YouTube, and you can guess how that turned out. So, recommendations? Could you give more than a one sentence description too? Thanks. (Obviously I am looking for games that I can get on PS4, so no Xbox or PC please)

I'd recommend GTAV, particularly if you don't have it on the PS3. Actually, if you don't have them on the PS3, I'd also recommend AC: Black Flag and Tomb Raider too.

Dragon Age: Inquistion unless you have a good PC, in which case you should get the PC version.

FarCry 4.

Or save your money for Evolve and The Order in February.

Infamous: Second Son
A great action adventure game with solid mechanics and story.

Diablo 3
The classic action-RPG PC franchise gets a good console port. The local coop is a blast and puts it above the PC version in my opinion.

Well, what do you want and enjoy? I recently picked up a PS4 myself because the game I want for it came out. Allow me to tell you what I bought:

Dragon Age: Inquisition. Boom, baby! I have been a fan of the Dragon Age series since Origins, and this is the game that pushed me over the edge. I'm sure you've heard other people talking about it by now. It comes down to whether you enjoy the kind of hacky-slash gameplay of the second game, "open world" areas, and Dragon Age in general. On the plus side, it is single player so you don't need PS Plus to enjoy it. There is multiplayer and you'd need it if you're into that, but the meat of the game is the single player by far.

Alien: Isolation. Okay, I haven't gotten more than an hour into the game, but damn. People weren't kidding when they said that the atmosphere in the game is great. It is a survivor horror game, not a combat one. When the Alien first showed up, I could not mash the "Close the damn door!" button fast enough because of the panic. Again, single player, so you don't need PS+.

Shadow of Mordor: It really is Batman Arkham meets Assassin's Creed. I haven't gotten past the tutorial level really (again, Dragon Age is eating up all of my time), but the combat feels familiar and comfortable. The story, or at least the intro section of it, could use a lot of work, but it is a solid game and the Nemesis system is unlike anything seen before. Yet again, PS+ not required.

Lords of the Fallen. Haven't even opened it yet (for the same reason), but it's suppose to be like Dark Souls, and from what I've heard that's a fair description. Not quite as rich, but still a solid game if you like the Souls series. Wish I could offer more, but I don't feel comfortable without actually playing it.

Destiny. Eh, it came with my PS4 (I am so tired of everything being black). Haven't put it in yet and it requires PS+.

Well, the number of actual "PS4 games" is rather limited at the moment, though that's going to change in a big way in March. So I'll divide recommendations between currently released games, games that are set to be released very soon, and classic titles on the PSN.

Current: The biggest recomendation I can make is The Last of Us HD. If you missed out on this gem before, now is the time to buy it. It has all the DLC and improved graphics. It's a survival/action game that focuses pretty heavily on stealth. It also has one of the most impressive narratives I've seen in a long, long time. Also, it had Nirvana music in the trailer. This is basically a must have title for Sony fans, Naughty Dog knows how to deliver. Alternatively, there's shadows of mordor, which is assassins creed in Middle Earth, Farcry 4, which is Skyrim in the himalayas, Destiny, the newest bungie game, and Alien Isolation, a legitimate survival horror game similar to the first (best) Alien film.

Upcoming: This is where it gets really good. March is the month of steampunk adventure titles, it seems. The elephant in the room is Bloodborne, a Gothic action rpg developed by the creators of Dark Souls. In other words it will be dark, beautifully atmospheric, and above all, it will be very very hard. This is the game to look forward to, if you own a PlayStation. The details are scant, but you seem to be a victorian monster hunter liing in a plague ridden town filled with dark creatures. Also, you get to dress like a plague doctor. You want to dress like a plague doctor, don't you? Of course you do. I'll include a trailer. You're welcome. Alternatively there's The Order 1866, in which... you play a group of Victorian era monster hunters surviving in a gothic monster infested city. This will focus more on guns, though, and it has Nicola Tesla as your personal weapons designer. Probably not as good as bloodborne, but it looks pretty good. There's also Final Fantasy Agito, if you like Japanese titles. It should have Kingdom Hearts style fighting, if that's your thing.

PSN: If you haven't played Persona 3, Persona 4, or Final Fantasy 7, they're on psn for $10.00, and have about 60-100 hours of game play each. Get on that. Alternatively there are a ton of indi games available. TailTale has two seasons of the walking dead, the wold among us, game of thrones, and tales from the borderlands available. They're fantastic adventure games with amazing writing and drama, but not much action. That should cover every thing, no matter your taste.

I'll second the Last of Us Remastered. I just got a PS4 last week that had it bundled in and I blew through that game because I was so into it. The story is amazing, the gameplay is solid if a bit frustrating at times, and the attention to detail is incredible.

If you haven't played them before on other consoles then Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition are also worth getting.

As far as exclusives go, Infamous: Second Son is supposed to be good but I haven't played much of it yet.

Shadow Warrior is pretty awesome. Basically a FPS with katana as a main weapon, killing hordes of demons, and filled with 80s cheese.

I just picked up Transistor for $8 last week. The game is just beautiful. Basically an action/turn-based hybrid of an RPG that works for the most part actually. I wish the combat was more strategic. As GamesRadar put it, it's like a revenge and love story mixed with Tron.

Shadow of Mordor is pretty solid. I haven't gotten too far into the game yet, I've kinda been addicted to Transistor. It's basically Batman's gameplay with LotR's setting. It almost feels too much like Batman though.

For all the hate Watch Dogs gets, I think it's far better than GTAV. Yeah, the story is bland as shit, but so are most games. However, the gameplay allows for a decent amount of creativity as you can mix and match between shooting (seriously the best 3rd-person open world shooting), stealth, and hacking to complete missions however you like. WD is basically 3rd-person FarCry set in a city with hacking.

You have some great PS3 PSN games that have made it to PS4 like Flower and The Unfinished Swan. Journey might be available on PS4 now (or is at least coming to PS4).

This appears to be a Vita exclusive.

Is a PS4 version coming?

As for PS+, for $50 a year, I'm building a pretty great download library. The same $50 a years is getting me games for my Vita, PS3 (it is still so great, why the heck would I disconnect it?) and a few worthwhile titles for PS4. This month it came with Injustice G-ds Among Us. Sadly, I think I have to go through all the tutorials before it will let me play the game!!!

Anybody know if that is correct?

I'm absolutely certain it's coming to either the ps4 or ps3. It's supposed to include a demo of FF 15 as well, which caught my interest. Since they originally refused to port the game due to a fear that it wouldn't sale (incredibly stupid) I can't imagine them porting it to the titanic of a hand held called the vita. Not exclusively, at least. Throwing in a few more life jackets won't save it.

Captcha: It is certain.

Thank you for the vote of confidence captcha, I was excited about his title.

Assassins Creed 4 is a good fun brightly coloured game with lots of memorable moments. Like all AC games the stories a little fractured. If you played it on your previous console, you're not going to find anything new here, but it you haven't played it before, it's worth your time. Just stay away from Unity, even with out the game breaking glitches (which I was fortunate enough to have none) the games not so great.

Dragon Age Inquisition weak villain, it's more about the internal politics of the Mage/Templar/Chantry conflict, the villains just there to provide you with a tangible goal an give you something to do. It's biggest crux is that because it's more about the worlds politics, it's not really new player friendly. But if you are already familiar with the DA universe, you owe it to yourself to play this game.

Watch_Dogs may not be the god send upon gaming Ubisoft promised us, but it's still a game that's worth your time. I mean, provided you can get around all the racism. (srsly Ubi, what the hell with all the racism?)

Last of US is worth reburying and playing even if you have played it on PS3. You're not going to find much new out of it, but it's just beautiful and clearly the way the game was meant to look.

Similar to AC4, Tomb Raiders worth your time if you didn't play it the first time around.

Try out warframe. Its a game where you play as a cybernetic space ninja complete with melee weapons, guns, and magic powers to compliment your warframe in a third person shooter format. Now take the image you just got in your head and crank it up to 11. The best part is its free to play. Some people will call it a pay to win game but frankly they dont have a clue what theyre talking about. You can get everything in the game without spending a cent but the game can get grindy once you start reaching the mid-high level content. The game is updated constantly with in game events every few months (sometimes weeks) and balance changes. Since its free to play you dont have anything to loose so I highly recommend you give it a try

Some other good games include Alien isolation, diablo 3, dont starve, injustice gods among us, Journey, Lords of the fallen, and transistor

"Wolfenstein: The New Order" is well worth getting if you like story-based fps games. Single-player only, but it is really good.
