I recommend Doctor Who, Fire Fly & Red Dwarf (I'll admit I haven't seen those last to myself, but now I really want to since I hear they're good), Mythbusters, Heroes (start with season one, since that's the best one out of all 4 seasons so far), Scrubs, House, and Dead Like Me.

In the way of cartoons (if you're into that sort of thing), there's Megas XLR, Samurai Jack, and my personal favorite- Avatar: The Last Airbender.

You should try watching Red Dwarf, a British comedy series from the 90's.
Also, the first ever sci-fi comedy.
I love it.
This times 1000. Really, my favourite series ever.
Black books is another British gold level comedy.
Black Books is amazing.
Also check out Forty Something (comedy w/ Hugh Laurie that he did just before House).
And How I Met Your Mother is great if you haven't seen it yet.
Another great Brit comedy is The Mighty Boosh, which is Monty Python in the modern world xD.
Finally if you have not seen The Flight of the Conchords get it NOW.

TOP GEAR
Every body loves Top Gear. Greatest TV show ever. If you judge greatness by amount of viewers its a fact.

Glee

Yes, it's campy and yes, it's directed by Ryan Murphy, but it's got a fantastic story. Joss Whedon is actually writing an episode for the coming season, and it's got some pretty fantastical covers. Plus, it has an episode with Kristen Chenowith, so yeah. Can't go wrong with that.

Flight of the Conchords is one of my favorite shows... very dry. If you liked Arrested Development then you would love Flight of the Conchords.

24 - Addicting, action packed and doesn't really drag.
Smallville - Based on your list you may like it.
LOST - Also based off your list you may enjoy this show as well.

The Daily Show and Colbert Report, they're pretty much required viewing. Seriously, why aren't they on your list already, OP?

Exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing too heavy handed or tragic, I'm not against stuff like that, just not in the mood.

I like shows like:

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer
Angel
Firefly
Futurama
Veronica Mars
Scrubs
Farscape
Arrested Development
Spaced
House
Dexter
Californication
Family Guy
Pushing Daisies
etc.

I've also recently enjoyed Chuck.

I have other favourite shows too, but I'm mainly looking for something in the vain of the shows I mentioned here.

Thanks in advance.
So I guess the most obvious question is, have you seen Dollhouse (which only has like 2 episodes left)?
Battlestar Galactica (the new one)
United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie (you seem to like the Showtime originals, and these are my 2 favorites)
If you're into animated adult comedy, might I recommend Metalocalypse, Venture Brothers and Frisky Dingo? Also the new "spy" show coming to FX in January (Dammit can't recall the name) starring H. Jon Benjamin.
For dramedy, I'd recommend you pick up the singular season of Studio 60 on DVD. It's hilarious/awesome.

Edit: Also, Community. Brilliant cast and possibly the best comedy ever.
