Oh! The Square was amazing(and Australian).
Also, Primer is a really good sci-fi film.

I actually loved it lol, nice pick though most people haven't seen it.
I can see why people liked it and it was a very well made film but there was just something about it I didn't really like and I still can't seem to put my finger on why that is but... meh.
No big deal. It was entertaining while I watched it and Joseph Gordon Levitt was fucking awesome in it :3

Swimming with Sharks - Kevin Spacey at his most cruel, viscious, and finest.

Way of the Gun - Benicio Del Toro is simulataneously understated and over the top.

Bettlejuice - Michael Keaton is a forgotten comedic genius.

The Cube - Relatively unknown canadian thriller. It'll mess with your head a bit.

Are you serious? The Fifth Element is extremely well known unless you have been in a coma since 1996 and just woke up. I mean Star Wars basically ripped off the city design model for Coruscant. Just look at the way New York is made to look in a city from 1997 and then examine the re-released Star Wars from 1998 and Episode I in 1999. Wonder where they got all those ideas from for how the city would look. Its almost a carbon copy.

One of the most criminally underrated movies I've ever seen.
It is the Silent Hill movie that never got made. Artistic, symbolic, and really quite terrifying.

Just... Great...

Chopper. I don't hear it talked about much, but it's a great film, bloody hilarious. Not sure if you will have seen it or not, but I dont know too many people who have. I wouldnt say it was exactly an unknown film either though, but I dont really watch many indie films or whatever.

I wouldnt call chopper an independant film

Australian Films in general dont really get much of an audience, I saw a guy on TV saying the problem with our industry was distribution

Wow I'm totally going to watch that Zulu movie now. That looks freaking good, and who doesn't like Micheal Caine. The man is pretty much the reason to see Second Hand Lions and of course the Original "Get Carter"

The first one is a great French action film, the second is a pretty good comedy, and the third is like Rocky Horror Picture Show with Oingo Boingo.

Titan AE.

Fantastic visuals, flew almost completely under the radar in 2000. The Prequel books were fantastic, too.
It looks stereotypical, but the wit, fantastic soundtrack and performances won me into fandom.

Secret of Kells

I wouldn't call it underrated, but its definately not as well known as it should be. Irish early history and mythology presented in animation style that was just fucking beautiful. Really a pleasure to watch.

Moon.

Just do yourself a favour and watch it. I thought it'd be boring.

Black Dynamite

It's late, my mind is tapped out.
I've heard good things about in bruges, i should definitely watch it.
If you end up liking In Bruges (which is all right), then watch 'Intermission' (2003). It's a great black comedy that very few people (outside of Ireland) have seen.
