FFIV, V, VI are all good and available on the GBA. Haven't played Tactics, but Tactics Advanced I & II were the shit (althought FFTA2's story is pretty meh).
Suggest me a new Final Fantasy game to play.

Try X-2, if you can look past the critisism thrown at it it's a pretty good game with a solid combat and job system. Then you can try II and III both in my opinion is still good even after the test of time.
6, 7, and 9 are easily the best Final Fantasies. The fact that you've only played one of them should give you an idea on which to play.
Personally, 6. 9 kinda railroads you a bit more. The only downside to 6 is the story loses a lot of momentum half way through, but it does leave you to explore the open world on your own.

I've been playing 4 Heroes of Light. I've not been so frustrated with an RPG in a very long time. If it was on your radar, I'd skip it. Not having direct control over your characters is a goddamn nightmare when you're fighting a boss that gets two attacks per turn and has spells that hit your whole party.
My suggestion, try the spin-off series. Tactics/Ivalice Alliance series are a great one if you like Turn-Based Strategy. If you'd like a pretty fun Fighting game, try the Dissidia games. I've heard good things about the Crystal Chronicles series, although I've not tried them myself.

VI is the best of the 2D era, while IX is definitely the pinnacle of RPGs!
Its been said itt, but had to stress, PLAY IX (and VI if you get the time).
EDIT: Also, play Tactics, Tactics Advanced, Tactics A2, and XIV is 10 bucks at Gamestop, if you're into MMOs

VI and IX are pretty good. Tactics is also nice, though it can be pretty punishing. It's really easily broken, though; there are many ability combinations that make you practically unstoppable, such as a Dancer with Sunken State, any character with 90 brave and Blade Grasp, etc.
Personally, I liked XIII-2 as well, though I understand that many people didn't. Apart from the story, it was better then XIII in most aspects. Granted, the story isn't bad, but I hated the ending.
The first 3 haven't aged well, so you're not really missing anything by skipping them.

The remake of 3 was pretty fun. At least until you got to the very end of the game and realised just how badly the save system in it would be kicking you in the balls when the game developers decide they don't like you very much.supersupersuperguy said:
I'd recommend 5, 6 and 9 just like everyone else. 3 is kind of situational, if you can forgive a game for spitting in your face every now and then so long as it's actually fun to play then go for it.
I would say VI as well its a good game although not as good as some people would make out but ten again I could say that for almost everything so yeah play VI.

It's very much like the Majora's Mask of the series. Sort of an under appreciated black sheep that's slowly getting more and more appreciation.
Phenomenal and moving story, art that's still gorgeous and emotional despite the aged tech, and even some genuinely clever subtext and philosophy. It's also the most well paced game I've ever played, the action and emotional investment just gets stronger and stronger as the story goes, leading up to the amazing last dungeon and a satisfying ending.
The character's are also just so damn...complex and interesting. The cast forms an amazing dysfunctional family by the second disk.
