Suggest PC games that can fill a Bloodborne-shaped hole in my heart, that aren't Dark Souls.

Someone suggested Dead Space, and I can only agree with them. The first two DS has a combat system where positioning, precision attacks and control of enemy movement is key, and losing that control quickly leads to a reloaded save. The second game even has that "all of the levels can be mapped out and remain consistent" quality that Dark Souls has!

Salt and sanctuary looks really interesting. It just might be what you are looking for.

There is also Titan souls, which is more like a indie shadow of the colossus that you might want to look out for also.

Maybe transistor, maybe bastion
Ehh... I really don't get what's so dark about these games. People tell me that they're pretty dark and moody, but I just can't see it. Every time I look at these two I see Secret of Mana, or any other cutesy Japanese Action RPG.
Dark souls has an unusual, passive way of telling a story where you have to piece it together yourself, transistor and bastion do something like that.
They also feature extensive customization that isn't just 100 levels of "damage + 5%" and does not involve grinding.
They're also atmospheric in their own way. That's what they have in common with dark souls.

Anyway dark souls 2 is a thing too, you know?
It's not a terrible game and the port is rather good.

Gothic 1 and especially Gothic 2 with the expansion Night of the Raven is probably THE proto-Dark Souls. The second game is tough as balls, the aesthetic is dark and gritty and the combat (while simple) is unforgiving but rewarding. In fact when Demons Souls came out i kinda sniffed at it for wanting to be another Gothic game (but for console peasants).

Highly recommended.

A modded Skyrim experience really can tailor to your desires, though that's a steep learning curve if you want to go very deep into that rabbit hole. Everything from how the combat and levelling works can be overhauled, the game made more immersive, darker, grittier, even adding more challenging dragons, or bosses like Dark Souls (check out the "Inferno" mods)

As for an out-of-the-box experience...

I might suggest Pillars of Eternity, it is real-time combat with pause (like Infinity Engine games, Baldur's Gate) and is pretty modern with some very dark gothic elements.

You could also try the Thief game series for a similar atmosphere to what you are wanting, keeping in mind they are Stealth Action games where combat isn't really a viable tactic (sniping guards with arrows from shadows works well though). Similarly you may like Dishonored as well.

By extension, I would also recommend the first Risen, which is on-par with Gothic 2 in my mind. It lacks a darker, grittier atmosphere though.

But really, I doubt Piranha Bytes games is what the OP is after. Witcher 2 is a bit of a stretch, so I imagine Gothic/Risen would be a fair margin from what he's looking for. Still amazingly good RPGs to recommend to anyone though.

The Metroid Prime series has the Dark Souls structure and atmosphere to it, if you're willing to lose the RPG elements for some tactical shooting. Odly enough your Bloodborne skills will translate much more directly, the two games have a very similar movement system to them. Prime is one of the few FPSes to pull of Lock On and dodging. The trilogy is well worth picking up on WiiU E-shop.

I've gotta second both Metro and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. However, to truly enjoy S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for what you would want out of it, I wholly recommend getting one of Cromm Cruac's Atmosfear mods. I'll leave the trailer for the 3rd release of it here.

Yes, because killing dragons in Dark Souls was so easy like in Skyrim.
I never played Skyrim, but when I saw a bear killing a freaking dragon, I flip my sh*ts and never saw it very seriously ever again.
Kingdom of Alamur I think is very colorful, but maybe I am wrong.
There are no Dragons in Dark Souls 2.

I think this may fit the bill:

It's pretty fantastic thus far, with great art, and an interesting character system. The only issue you ma have is that it's turned based. However, it's a pretty good turn based game, so if you don't mind that then I think you'll enjoy the title.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with Shin Megami Tensai, but it's got a similar tone and difficulty. Shin Megami Tensai: Nocturne begins with the end of the world, and it's all downhill from there. It also guest stars Dante.

Speaking of Dante, I guess the Devil May Cry series is a must. You can get the HD collection for cheap:

It's still in early access, but a perfectly safe buy. There's already a lot of content available and now they're focusing on adding even more classes and tweaking the balance a bit.

Try Darksiders 2 on hardest difficulty. Holy shit it's so much fun to be on the edge all the time in that game. Especially when you come to the City of the Dead. The atmosphere is amazing.

That's not a real dragon.
There is at least one, the red dragon from dark souls 1 sits in front of the old dragonslayers gate in scholar of the first sin
That's a drake. Dragons in Dark Souls are ancient, immortal, and highly intelligent beings. Drakes are really big lizards that resemble dragons. Dragons are god-like beings. Drakes are animals.
