Hey escapies, I have been writing a blog for the past couple of weeks to sharpen my writing abilities, but I am going to need some help coming up with a topic this week. I don't want to bore you with the details, but going to college in New York and doing athletics can really suck the life out of you, so much so that I tend to neglect my blogging duties. I try to post a new rant every Friday evening, but I find myself being so busy sometimes that I just forget.

Anyways, the topic of my blog is what I think of groups of people. To give you an example I have talked about:
Guidos
Gays
Native Americans
People who like blue collar comedy
Handicapped people (that was a challenge given to me by a friend, I swear)
and many more

The point is that I am convinced that everyone can be judged accurately based on their traits as a human being. This is not a blog about racist thoughts, although those might appear, but I think it is too easy to target people who always get exposure. So escapies, any suggestions on what I should write about? I'll post the link to it below.

EDIT: I ain't trying to advertise, I was just asking for some help. You don't like it, whatever, I am just trying to get some practice writing, I don't expect people to read it.

Not only are you being intensely insensitive, you're also advertising.

Off with your head!

Yeah, this is really just a great big ad for your site. However, I challenge you to write an article about the lactose intolerant.

Don't know if you have much to say on this, but how about Sports fans. For some starting material, they are loud, rowdy, usually drunk, and throw a hissy fit over something anyone else would not care about. While the last thing applies to just about any fanboy, sports fans top this off by seeing their positively geeky obsession as normal, while all the other fanboys are just freaks. I once had to sell Red Sox memorabilia at Fenway park and I felt pretty much the same way a sports fan would have felt selling manga at an anime convention. Anyway, if you want to tackle it, I'll let you carry on from here.

that's actually not a bad idea, I'll probably have something up by tomorrow night.

Just finished your blog page. I must say that I completely understand what you mean by lots of what you said, and I admire you for putting yourself out there to say it. I did disagree about whether or not having racist thoughts make you a racist, but as someone on the forum once said, we need to understand that there are multiple levels of racism and we need to differentiate between acceptable racist (Thinks racist thoughts but doesn't act on them) and unacceptable racist (Believes racist thoughts and acts on them). I'm just glad you put yourself out there to say that.

OP's post was brought to you by Mr Muscle! The only dish washing detergent to feature Terry Crewes on its packaging!

Whats wrong with Blue Collar Comedy?

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I just hope that it was entertaining for you on some level, if not, I failed. My whole direction with this deal is to say what I really feel and try not to be funny for funny sake, but hope that humor comes as a consequence.

Part of me wants to support this cool dude for being contrary to the common, prevailing view...

But the rest of me is a moderator on a forum and hates advertising.

My main issue with it is that it relies on gimmicks to stay alive. All those guys who are in the Blue Collar Comedy tour have their own catch phrase:
Here's your sign
Git 'er done
You might be a redneck when...

It is so fucked out, it drives me insane that these guys are millionaires off this nonsense. It is like they are subverting any real thought that goes into stand-up and replacing it with a cheap trick that makes the dumbos in the Midwest giggle.
