Oh god I do love the Doctor Who soundtracks.
Me too. I've found a few through browsing, but I have no idea which the best are.
Well!
First we have the soundtrack from series 1&2, simply entitled 'Doctor Who (Original Television Soundtrack)'
Some of my favourite tracks are 'The Doctor's Theme', 'I'm Comming To Get You', the beautiful 'Face of Boe', 'Tooth and Claw' and both the Dalek and Cybermen themes.
Next is the series 3 soundtrack. It contains arguably the best track on all the soundtracks, 'All The Strange Strange Creatures', and another great piece called 'Boe' and other epic ones like 'The Futurekind', 'The Master Tape' and 'Just Scarecrows to War'
The series 4 soundtrack has one of my favourite pieces of epic music out of all 6 soundtracks. 'The Doctor's Theme Series 4' is basically the music from this scene;
It also has 'A Pressing Need To Save The World', 'Voyage of the Dammed Suite' 'The Dark and Endless Dalek Night' and the revised theme tune.
The Specials Soundtrack is something special indeed. Basically everything on the second disc is pure awesome. 'Dealing With The Menace' 'Speeding To Earth', 'Never To Old To Fly And Shoot' (a bonus track only available from iTunes, but an epic piece indeed), 'The Time Lords Last Stand' and 'The Clouds Pass'. Topped off with the beautiful 'Vale Decem' it's a brilliant soundtrack indeed! The first disc has its moments with tracks like 'A Forceful Intelligence'.
Series 5 and 6 soundtracks are pretty interchangeable to be honest. They are very good but they only have a few select tracks on my opinion. Series 5 has 'The Suns Gone Wibbly', 'Zero' and 'I Am The Doctor'
Series 6 soundtrack has 'Locked On', 'Pop' and the astounding 'The Majestic Tale (Of a Mad Man in a Box)'
Sorry if that went on a bit. I don't get to talk about the soundtracks as much as I would like
Also the Skyrim theme is pretty epic
I've got the Peter Hollens/Lindsey Stirling cover. Somehow one voice and one violin makes it MORE epic.
I had never heard that version before so I went to look it up. While I don't deny that both Peter Hollens and Lindsey Stirling are very talented people. I don't think it's as epic as the original. The violin and background music drowns out Peter's voice too much for me.
