Hi everyone. How are you? Long time no see. Glad you're doing better.

Anyway :p

I really do not care about multiplayer. I like the solo experience in a FPS game, but nowadays it's mostly crap. (giving you a list of what i've already tried and loved) I've played Half Life, Portal, Fear, Halo, Call of duty, Battlefield bad company, Singularity, Bioshock, System shock, Deus Ex, Metro 2033, Stalker (did not really like it).

Can you guys suggest good solo fps? A requirement would be it's longer than 6 hours -_- I hate short campaigns (except if it's really good). Oh and it has to be on the PC, hopefully on steam.

Thanks!

Any of the STALKER games?

And in that vein, Metro 2033 :3

Also maybe System Shock/Bioshock?

Edit: Fallout 3/New Vegas is also worth a shot... it's not really focused on the gunplay (especially with VATS) but it's one of my favourite games ever just because of the enormity of it.

Farcry 2 definitely, huge, epic, awesome, beautiful. Seriously it's my favorite FPS, it's so flexible, huge in length and playing with fire is one of the funnest things ever.

Hm FarCry 2 forgot about that. I liked the first one. Adding it to my list. Anything else?

Also Mass Effect like you said is not an FPS but it is on my to do list of games to play this summer. But I did not play the first one and I feel like I should to get the story. And I don't really want to..

Halo: Reach has a pretty good story campaign. Bioshock was really good. Bulletstorm is actually really good if you're willing to not be one of those "Games have to be intelligent and have clever humour" type of gamer and are quite happy to delve into your childish side.

I was going to go with Deus Ex but that got ninjed (ninjad? ninjd?) so I'll go with the original Crysis. The second one is good but I preferred the first.

Star Wars Jedi knight: Dark Forces 2.

It's a little dated but seriously... you will love this game. Probs one of the best single player campaigns in a game ever. Plus live action cutscenes!

God I have played too many games smh. I have already played Crysis 1, it was ok. How does Crysis 2 hold up solo wise?

And Halo Reach is not on the PC..

Rainbow Six: Vegas has a pretty good single player and Terrorist Hunt is a genuinely harrowing experience at times, especially when solo.

If you can find it for PC (or original XBOX) getting Star Wars Republic Commando is damn near essential in my book. The game has a unique look, great controls, absolutely Fantastic soundtrack (not all of it from the films) and features enough variety to make it interesting.

both of those even out to be 6 hours give or take a few depending on difficulty.

Also I've not actually played it but I hear Cryostasis (NOT Crysis) is pretty good and is in the same vein as Metro 2033 or Bioshock.

Oh, Condemned: Criminal Origins! The game is fucking fantastic (the first one I mean, Bloodshot never happened) and has great moments

You sure did eliminate a lot. Borderlands? It's pretty solid playing solo, and only gets better if you can play with a friend online. It has well over 6 hours of playtime too.
