Yes, same here. Okay, um...

Bioshock, Portal 2, Assassin's Creed(s), Torchlight (on the XBLA). They're all good singleplayer games.
Apparently I've played most games that people are going to suggest here...

Played all of those (Torchlight on the PC).

Haha, it's cool.

I'll probably end up doing what I usually do, and failing seeing any of the games on my list I'll just look through games on the shelves that are reasonably cheap and get one of those.

Saints Row 2
The Godfather
The Saboteur
LA Noire
Oblivion
The Saboteur was really fun. I'd say get it if you like climbing around and stealth mixed with high explosives. It had a unique story, as well.

Oblivion: Definitely get. No, seriously. Get it. You won't regret it. I've played it so much... I think that I might need rehab for it.

Well, any other suggestions? Like, once I tell a friend of mine that I haven't played Oblivion through he might force me to borrow it, so I might be able to get it off him!

Dunno if you've played it, but if you like RTS games, Sins of a Solar Empire is bloody brilliant. Alone in the Dark, the PS3 version, is good, if a bit short and sometimes a little confusing. I don't know what consoles you have. If you're looking for actiony PC games, I just did a review [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.296174-Mount-and-Blade-Warband-Review] on a game called Mount and Blade: Warband. You might consider checking that out. There's two free online RPGs that I've sunk quite a lot of hours in, if that's your thing: Mabinogi (more traditional RPG), and Dungeon Fighter Online (An arcadey brawler). The Fable games have fairly good single player, despite the fandom bashing them. Left 4 Dead is still fun with bots, although it's better with other players. InFamous for PS3 is brilliant, and Dead Rising 2 is a great choice as well. Ah, let me think... Alpha Protocol is good. It's not the best technically, but it has a nice feature where your actions can, and probably will, come back to haunt you. Mafia II is a good one, as well, and if you have the option to get something of XBLA or PSN, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a fun little romp down Arcadey Street.

'Fraid it's 360 only dude, and I've already got Dead Rising 2 and L4D.

Yeah I've got a shitload of games.

Out of those I'd recommend SR2 or LA Noire. While I have and got some level of enjoyment out of The Saboteur, it's not a particulary good game and has more potential than real goodness.

It partially depends on your price range.
LA Noire is going to be full price where Oblivion can be found for about $18.00.

Well, I'm not necessarily looking at just the games on the list...

Any suggestions are welcome!

Second quote fail today. Sorry.

No computer games? Ah, let me see if I can't think of some. I heard that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow or whatever was good. I haven't played it though. The Club is a mindless shooter, but it's kinda fun. Civilization Revolution: Wonderfully delightful. Fallout 3, if you haven't played it already. Red Faction: Guerrilla. Just Cause 2. Mercenaries 2, maybe. Mafia 2 still holds, if you're interested. Alan Wake, most definitely. Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Street Fighter IV. I can dig around in my library. I have 70+ Xbox games, so I'll make a list and send you it via message. If I think of any more, I'll reply through here. One more: Arkham Asylum.

Just Cause 2. Even just the demo. That is all.

Really though, I have only played the demo and have clocked many hours onto it. It's great fun. Other than that.... Borderlands.

Also, Minecraft if you want to play something on PC. And you somehow don't have it already.

are you only looking for 360 games?, if not, the witcher 2 seams like a good game, if you like RPGs.

Right, so, tomorrow as a form of celebrating the end of exams I'm going into town, trading in a few games, and getting a new one (on the 360).

I don't know what I want to get, so I want you, Escapees, to suggest some games to me.

I don't really know what genre, just gimme some ideas and I'll decide tomorrow! I like most types of games, but I think this time I'd like to have one that focuses on Single Player.

It doesn't have to have just come out or anything, I'll settle for two cheaper ones from a year or two (or three) ago!

Edit:

Games I'll be looking at buying:

Saints Row 2
The Godfather
The Saboteur
LA Noire
Oblivion
La Noire is a massive disappointment. It's enjoyable, but I doubt you'll want to play it again. A game that normally would have gotten a 6 at most got given a 9.0 just because it's a rockstar game.
The saboteur however is really interesting. A free roaming mission based game set during the German Resistance? Yes please!
Saints Row 2 is incredibly fun, think GTA (ala Vice City) before it got bogged down being serious and gritty especially when playing online with a friend.
Oblivion for me was a total letdown. A plot that made no sense, repetitive quests, a battle system that didn't work a broken journal/quest system.
If you want Oblivion with guns and a good game, better off with Fallout 3.
Oblivion in my opinion is the worst game in the last 5 years.

Played Darkspore?
It's a decent little action RPG, and it's incredibly hard.
It's in the similar vein to Diablo, and is quite fantastically keeping my hunger satiated until Diablo III comes out.

If you like Saints Row 2, you'll love Just Cause 2.

The only problem about playing it alone is all of the times when you do something awesome, which you wish you could have shown someone.

Oblivion is excellent, it's incredibly long...so you decide if that's a plus or not. I put 100 hours in and didn't even get to the main story, and there are literally dozens if not hundreds of sidequests I haven't touched yet.

Fallout 3 was excellent as well, it's long too, so you'll get your moneys worth. I found this a little more playable than Oblivion, it didn't seem quite as repetitive or something. The story is also a little tighter.

I'm currently playing Fable 2 and that's pretty good. My only complaint is that enemies always seem to be hanging out in the one spot, and respawn the second I turn my back. Other than that it's worth the $20.00 I put into it.
