That's how I usually always play in Bad Company 2. Most of my kills and deaths are from C4.

Most gamers have one day tried suicidal and very desperate strategies in games. For example: I've been playing God of war 2 recently and near the end of the game i had to fight Cerberus dogs. The problem is they spawn small cerberus pups and they soon grow into large cerberus dogs. After many, many tries at killing them, I came up with a very dangerous, (unsuccesful) plan. I would let as many full grown cerberus dogs spawn and then kill them all at once using rage of the titans and cronos' rage. So escapist, what are your examples?
You know Artemis's Sword keeps them from respawning, right?

OT: Most recently in Metro 2033 I ran out of ammo in the Library for everything but those SHIT shotguns. So I attempted to kill Librarians with Throwing Knives. Takes 4 to the Dome to drop one. You can carry 5. Don't miss.

Playing Team Fortress 2, I would get fed up and stoop to the lowest strategy possible.

Choosing Pyro and running around with Mouse 1 held down.

No I didn't know that since I never used it but that wouldn't matter since this was in god of war 2 not 1 so I didn't have it.

OT: Any first person shooter with grenades: When desperate, run in guns blazing and when about to die pull out a pineapple.

In Killing Floor or L4D, throwing explosives at one's feet when surrounded by zombies with no way of escaping. Take out as many of those fuckers as you can...
or a molitov cocktail when back into a corner. Fire makes it all better

It depends on the game I'm playing. For FPS games, if I'm actually trying to survive, I'll charge into a dangerous situation, zigzagging with guns blazing ( imagine the titular 'Waltz with Bashir' from the same movie). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I'm not trying to survive, I'll pull the pin on a grenade and run straight at the nearest enemy, hoping to kill him (or them) with the explosion . I've even used that tactic when playing multi-player with friends.
If I'm playing a sandbox type game (Saint's Row 2 for example) once I've obtained the satchel charges or remote bombs, I'll grab a car, plant several charges on it, then drive towards enemies. If I can remember not to hit the detonator button (usually the same one as the e-brake when driving) I'll jump out and hit the detonator switch. Other times, when I'm bored, I'll purposely detonate the charges while I'm still in the car, or hold on to a grenade untill it blows.

I usually have at least one moment like this when I get impatient in a stealth game. Metal Gear Solid 3 more than any other, though. I mean, come on, Kojima even gave us a Rambo outfit, I don't think it's possible not to attempt a rampage at that point.

Ah yes. The God of War games are starting to run together in my mind >.<

I also utelize the "Noob Shotgun Rush to Grenade-Spam Death" from time to time in FPS/TPS games.

In Heroes of Might and Magic 2: Gold Edition, I had a high-level warlock running around with only a few Black Dragons in his army spam-casting Armageddon. Actually worked pretty well.

What kinds of suicidal or desperate strategies do I tend to pull?

The kind that involves me throwing alot of crap at an enemy followed up by a charge that usually throws them off. The type of stuff I throw before that charge varies from arrows, bullets, or nuclear weapons. So long as there is alot of it. ;P

Halo Custom Edition. Map called coldsnap has some jets on one team and a whorey laser behemoth of a tank on the other. I would equip my C4, and go high altitude over the thing. Jump out, quick aim, bombs away. 15 seconds later, almost without fail, the thing would go up in smoke and die. Another thing would be attaching the C4 to a warthog and driving into opposing vehicles, and a couple times the laser tank.

For reference, this tank would shoot a projectile with a 250ish foot kill radius, smash the other team's heavy vehicle before it was in range to even be remotely balanced. It would light up the whole map like the sun came out every time the projectile detonated. I got booted a few times for a jet jump, and banned once for suiciding into it with a hog.

I've always been a fan of "the charge." I'm old fashioned, but it works.

However, I only use suicidal attempts after I've used strategy. Especially with teammates. Example:
"Okay, you guys do crowd control while I go for the big guy... damn.
Okay, I'll do crowd control and you guys go for the big guy... damn.
Okay, let's try attacking from a distance... damn.
Okay, let's go stealthily... damn.
Okay, screw it. CHARGE!!!... damn."

That's happened to me in more games than I can count. :p

Fallout 3. Doing Operation: Anchorage immediately after leaving the vault.

Taking on super mutant masters and overlords on the way at level two.

The reward is worth the risk, but still nerve-racking.

I have a friend who plays Starcraft with me who plays normally against my friends, but insists on ling rushing me. Well, I got Red Terran (I play Random) and I have this build specifically for Red Terran called "The Russia Build" where I get 10 barracks, start playing the USSR National Anthem, mass stimmed marines and type out "FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!!!!!!111one!" every time I attack. Well, he decided not to ling rush the one time I get Red Terran. He shat bricks.

BTW, his ling rush only worked once. He's terrible at it.

Oh you know....The boss bad guy with the most hit & damage points is surrounded by tons of lower-impact goons, so you rush in & try to take out Big Bad first, but whether or not you get him, the sheer numbers of the goons end up killing you.
