Patriotism- the quality of being patriotic; vigorous support for one's country

Music Videos- Video that accompanies a musical piece, often popular music.

It is time we, the escapist, showed our pride and combined the two elements. Which music video sums up your fine country, captures the essence and shows it's true face unlike things such as "the news" and "actual facts."

As an Englishman, I present to you what I humbly believe is the single most British music video ever. Dem tracksuit. Dose idiots. Dat giant police hat.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you-

Oh yes.

(late 90s to mid 2000 british music vids are all ace. Who needs art when you can have a welsh bloke shuffling and get punched by MC hammer whilst a pub landlady dances in a leotard, muchos internet cookies if you get the reference)

I feel dirty. I am taking fruit that is so low hanging that it's just sitting on the ground. Ants and other bugs are crawling all over this piece of fruit since it's so low to the ground. That piece of fruit is filthy and I'm about to pick it...

Although I suppose it's not an "official" music video so maybe it doesn't count? That hasn't stopped musicians from making the "America Fuck Yeah" equivalent except he's 100% serious and straight faced with it...

Alright now, enough joking...I have a better video...Jesus Christ I'm depressing...in my defense, people keep shooting each other here so you'll have to forgive me for being so depressing.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a mountain of student loan debt to drown in and a $200 doctor bill to pay when I had someone look at my twisted ankle.

I suppose Canada would be well represented by the classic hockey song:

Misread it, by a music video?

Hmmm, found this. Looks appropriately chilly, and people wear hockey equipment everywhere. You never know when an impromptu hockey game will occur. Also looks beautiful everywhere.

I make no apologies for America.

You wouldn't know what crazy was if Charles Manson was eating fruit loops on your front porch.

As a Welsh person, I find your cultural appropriation of GLC to be distasteful. (just kidding)

Not only does this sum up my country but I actually used to live in Newport and this was pretty much our anthem.

Not only is this the most American video I've ever seen, it is perhaps the most American American to ever speak about the American dream. >.>

I don't know how seriously to take this thread. Like, I don't know, this is the sort of thing that always seems to lend itsemf to good-natured self-deprivation. So I ran with that.

About 20 seconeds in there's a quote by a U.S commander in WW2. I think it sums things up. Violence is ok, but don't say any naughty words.

I'm from Great Britain.

>Don't you mean the UK?

No, I mean Great Britain. And this music video is what we're like as a country:

As much as that song makes me want to bite my own ears off, I can't deny that it's rather catchy.

"The Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist", is kind of an awesome line too.
