As much as that song makes me want to bite my own ears off, I can't deny that it's rather catchy.

"The Statue of Liberty started shakin' her fist", is kind of an awesome line too.
Maybe it's because I hate country music. Maybe it's because I heard the song way after our "We were just attacked! We're gonna get them terrorists!" 9/11 boner. Maybe it's just the way my mind thinks. Maybe because as my "serious" song implies, my faith in my country seems to be falling apart. Whatever it is, every time I hear that line, all I can think of is this...

Well, this is both a non serious and serious answer at the same time.

At first I was going to post some Mr B, but then I was like 'Wait, there's not nearly enough hoodlums'.

Some kid throwing a flare at the police? That's Britain right there.

Well this one I suppose, although not because "we don't know how lucky we are", more because we repeat that line a lot and have tendency to ignore our problems and think shit doesn't happen here. On a side note: I always laugh at how awkward Helen Clark is in this.

or this one, not because we're dark and depressed but because we have to paint everything black in support of the All Blacks. Black burger buns? ewww that dose not look appealing.

I think it falls somewhere between:

'Murica, motherfuckers.

"I'm not selling out. I'm buying in."

And.

And probably...

I'm not sure this song even has a music video. Not one that I can find anyway...

I'm not from London but tbh I don't think there's many songs about Yorkshire.

You probably don't need a translation, the music should be enough.

And something for my fellow Angst-onauts

About 20 seconeds in there's a quote by a U.S commander in WW2. I think it sums things up. Violence is ok, but don't say any naughty words.
Never heard that one from Sabaton. Which album was that from?

So in preparation for our county's Olympics in 2000, the Australian government set out a competition for various Australian acts to come up with an Anthem for the Games.

Many bands applied.

Many didn't make it.

This is one of those bands... See if you can figure out why...

Aptly wraps up our country's obsession with sports (although that can be true of any country), but to me personally, it also tells of our twisted sense of humor and not taking ourselves too seriously.

Hope you guys like it ;)

A couple Canadians posted Arrogant Worms, but I'm surprised that this one hasn't been posted yet.
Okay, well, actually the video kind of sucks and is barely related, but the song is good!

What sums up the Netherlands in a music video?

It ain't a Dutch song, but it damn well sums us up well. Because yeah, you can make the drug jokes, the prostitution jokes, the tulip jokes. But they're too easy to make and bullshit these days anyway.

But you know what ain't bullshit? We adore our bicycles. The country won't run without 'em.
