I use it sometimes in an ironic kind of way, just because the guy from Generation Kill who uses it is awesome :D

I only do it to other people who've seen it though, its not exactly a common phrase in deepest darkest Shropshire :p

My ***** of a sister uses it sometimes, she says Brah is a complement because it means a womans bra, something about being supportive or whatever. *****, I don't care, it sounds stupid, so shut up.

I don't say that exactly, but sometimes when I'm playing an intense game with my friends I'll sometimes say "dudebromanSUP" right as I get an excellent kill. No idea why.

My friends and I used to use it as a joke after we saw the SP ep where Cartman acts like Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Didnt someone in FarCry 2 use it a lot?

God I hate that saying. Where I live its all the chavs and the like who describe everything someone does as 'teh crack' they even spell it crack which makes them even more retarded. It was a perfectly normal thing before popularity got a hold of it and beat it into the ground before mugging it of its dignity and wallet.
It doesn't sound too bad in a midlands Irish accent. Mainly because it's an Irish word. Means 'fun' or 'insane'.
There's actually very little distinction between the 2 in the Irish personality.
By very little I think you mean none...

And no, I've never ever said s'up brah. I may have put s'up once or twice in text messages, but just for a laugh.

No 'brah', but I go "Sup Dawg" in an ironic fashion all the time, including obviously faked enthusiasm.

Well, we pronounce it 'Bru' or 'Broo' over here, sometimes brah as well. And it's used all the time, by everybody.

Well most I know just say "hey" or "hello" as a greeting or some of us say "howyagoing" all one sound but if your Australian you understand it. And no one is enough of a tryhard to use brah in conversation unless they want people to look at them like they are an idiot.
Much the same thing happens over here (Here in my case being the south of England). You start out with "How are you, alright?" as a greeting/conversational opener, which gets shortened to "You alright?", which then gets further broken down to become "Y'ight?" which is more of a sound than a word.

OT: I've never said 'brah'. I can't imagine a situation where I would, even ironically. I am, however, guilty of exclaiming "Brohan!" when I answer the phone to my friend because we're both huge fans of Captain Hero.

Only when being ironic, I also say "totes" and "what'evs" in a high pitched voice when its about something teenage girl related.
