Super Mario Bros. still rocks!

I played this not too long ago for the first time, and I can't say that I particularly enjoyed it. I much prefer Super Mario World and I reckon that's probably the best 2D Mario game that there is.

Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers 3 (my personal favorite 2D platformer), and Super Mario World are all classics and are still great today.

Lost Levels was the shit. I loved how it ramped up the difficulty, and the haphazard way the levels were laid out made thinking on the fly a must. It was nowhere near the difficulty of other 2-d side-scrollers from the NES era, though.

The original was okay but not something I would waste money on. All the new ones are boring and barely change anything. Mario is one of the biggest reasons I never buy Nintendo things anymore. That and I have learnt not to expect anything actually fun from them.
