Uh... all of them?

If I were granted superpowers I very much doubt I'd ever use them for anything other than amusing myself, impressing women and earning an easy living.
While I'm sure that applies to 99% of people, HOW would it be wasted?

I WANT to amuse myself with superpowers, to have an easy living and all that.

As for the OP... I have no idea. It would have to be one of those completely useless super-powers to begin with... like being able to reproduce any snowflake you touch (and hell.. even that would have it's uses... No two snowflakes alike? TAKE THIS common wisdom!)

I guess I'd find a use for pretty much any worthwhile superpower.

Anything to do with firing energy balls or other projectiles..... I'm not likely to ever be in a fight where I'd want to use them, and there's not much I can do with them to assist me in my daily life.

Would suck even more if I didn't have full control over it (like cyclops)

Telekinesis. I would use it for the sole purpose of pranking people, not gonna lie.

raising the.... i mean, rotating the earth at will. i'd most like just stop the rotation and make it perpetually midnight directly over my head 24/7. only, this thoughtless act would likely end up killing everyone instantly instead. yeah, better not give that one to me.

Probably the power of persuasion (like mind control or controlling people easily).
While one would used that power for the better (or worse) of the world like changing polictics or the current state of affairs (like getting people to recycle more and etc) I would sooo used that power for my own benefits (like you're totally fine by letting me take this tv for free)!

Laser vision i'd assume. it'd likely be too powerful to actually use.

so what super power could the universe give you that you would totally waste?
Most of them would be wasted. Take super strength - how often do you actually need to lift incredibly heavy things? Might help to carry the shopping home but that's about it. If I had the power of flight, where am I going to go? I guess maybe I could check out China, except I have no local currency and don't speak the language. Telepathy scares the shit out of me, because why would I ever want to know how people think about me?

Super powers only work within a fictional universe where they are the norm, and ergo required to combat other people with super powers. In the real world, they'd just be awkward as hell...

Aquaman's ability to talk to fish.

Seriously, that one is NEVER getting used.
Sorry to single you out, chum, but this one is a pet peeve of mine.

Also, in a battle of Aquaman vs Namor (Marvel's Aquaman equivalent) he wins the fight by telling a whale to jump on the guy.

And as for his global impact, I'll let Peter David [http://www.peterdavid.net/2010/12/20/et-tu-big-bang-theory/] explain why Aquaman's powers make him someone you should never, ever fuck with.

If I had Aqauaman's talking-to-fish powers, I'd become a world power almost instantly :p

breathing underwater or anything ocean based
what this guy said. The number of times im near an ocean in a year can be counted on my hand, and its not like water based powers (waterbending excluded) would be of much use outside the ocean (or conveniently placed kiddie pools).

thank you for posting that, it always bugs that people reduce aquaman to parody levels, you don't fuck with a guy who is basically in water(which makes up 70% of the worlds surface) just because some writers are too lazy to think up scenarios where water could somehow factor in.

superspeed/power/endurance, i assume those just mean that you can potentially be faster/more powerful than your average human but you still need to work out and i would still be a fat lazy guy and thus would never get any real use out of those except maybe make it a little easier to carry groceries and such.

Practically all of them would be wasted on me. I don't lead a very exciting life, at least not to the extent that I'd be battling off Shadow Wraiths with fire and lightning that I can shoot from my hands. While flight/super-speed/super-strength would be cool if I had complete control over them, I doubt I'd ever really use them except for convenience. It'd be awesome to use telekinesis to mess with people or just be even lazier than I already am, but I probably wouldn't do anything productive or useful with it.

The power to evapourate myself but not turn back. Basically turn into mist and kill myself. I don't think that would be useful.

Anything that can only kill people, because I simply wouldn't use it. So laser eyes, wolverine claws, power to explode minds, all basically useless on me.
