As a diehard Steelers fan for life, I say Congratulations Green Bay. You played a good game and took home the trophy.

I'm assuming that the name "Packers" is intended to reflect whatever the Hell goes in the scrum?

I have one: Fuck Pittsburgh.
And fuck you too philly! Bunch of hairless apes that skate around on the ice, smacking their sticks off whatever looks shiny. XD (Oh, I got so offtopic and mods please glance over, just haivng a bit of city rivalry).

OT: I dont know. Ben played a good game (you cant really help the to Interceptions he threw, especially the one where it was pretty much ripped from wallace). I will say that I'm glad GB won, and if anyone was going to beat the Steelers, I'm glad it was GB (they're my national conference team). Rodgers is a good guy and QB, so its nice that he's not as good if not better then Brett Favre.

I just wanted the Steelers to win for Ben, so he can stop this hate about him and those Bullshit rape chargers that never went anywhere. And all the commentators to eat their words since before that game, everyone said he was a bad guy and lucky to get two and the Steelers should trade hima nd he should never play Football again and blah blah blah. Becauise if he would have had 3 in something like 5-6 years, they would have hailed him as one of the greatest ever.

I'll take my hairless apes who smack their sticks at anything that is shiny over, who are also first in the East over your overrated, we were good two seasons ago, but now we are mediocre team. Also for the record, Philly doesn't have nearly as many bandwagon fans as Pittsburgh does.

Probably cause Philly doesnt hav enearly as many fans. XD we are getting so off topic and I was just joking originally. And you're not talking to one of those fair weather fans now, so I dont know why you'd bring that up. to me, those fans are revenue, which means that the team can afford to stay good and hire the best talent.

But I will say this. The Pens are still good this season, cause look at the owning they've done without their big name stars and down 3 centers. Plus, they have more cups then Philly, and Philly just barely squeaked its way into the Playoffs last year, where they only won because Boston(I think?) imploded on that seventh game. So the pens have been better consistently and have the talent and balance with their additions. They just need a Veteran Center who can hold down the fort while (EDIT: GOD DAMNIT MALKIN TAKE A GOD DAMN PAY CUT OR GET TRADED!*), Crosby gets his cobwebs back in place and Letestu to get back.

But like I siad, that was just a joke and its getting way out of hand.

*Makin is out for the rest of the season (so far at least) with his injuries. He's been underproducing and is raking in a cool... 8. something million a year (I think its either 8.1 million or 8.9) for a contract thats almost identical to Crosby's.

I thought the halftime show was fucking horrible.

I know the Black Eye Peas aren't known as a great live band, but what the fuck? That was fucking embarrassing.

Otherwise I don't care about football.

Pretty much this. You beat the shit out of us in the first half, and I had to stop watching, but the second half seemed better. I don't mind losing, but I think Pittsburgh really "dropped the ball", if you know what I mean, during the first half.

I'm so happy Green Bay won. Not because I hate Pittsburgh or anything (only the Penguins) but because in the place I was watching we had the loudest group of Steelers fans. Any time something marginally good happened for the Steelers (like a 3 yard gain, or Green Bay getting a Penalty, or something of that sort) they would all start screaming and smacking these stupid noisemakers together. And we're in goddamned Detroit, so it's not like they were supporting the local team.

I was too busy playing Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and drinking to really give two shits, I didn't like either team, so my care level was dangerously low. I did watch the half time show to see what the big deal was though, and that was garbage.

Also, HOW COULD YOU SLASH!?

They're actually named after the old founder's boss. See, Curly Lambeau [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curly_Lambeau] here actually solicited funds from the Indian Packing Company so he could afford the uniforms. The company gave him the money on one condition, that Lambeau change their name to reflect them. And so the Packers were born.....its a really strange and silly origin story.

OT: I was rooting for Green Bay the entire way through, but it could have gone either way and I wouldn't have minded. I was just glad the Jets didn't go to the super bowl.
