Looks like a lame combination of Devil Wears Prada and Flash imo. And that trailer music... Jesus Christ. What do you think?

It looks like a slice of life dramedy with some random powers thrown in. Watching some stupid ***** faff about isn't appealing.

It looks like Jimmy Olsen is black in this.

OT: It doesn't look that bad, In fact I kind of like it but I guess we have to wait and see if it's good

I feel like I just watched an entire season in six minutes.

I suppose it's interesting that they try to merge the life stuff with the superhero stuff, but it's just an excuse to have it mostly be a regular sitcom type thing. No thanks.

It's not that Jimmy Olsen is black, who gives a crap afterall, it's that his personality is nothing like the traditional Jimmy Olsen. They might as well have created a completely new character, what's the point of keeping the name and making Jimmy Olsen completely fucking different? Hell they even changed his name to give the character more prestige: James Olsen. Seriously?

It looks.......eh.

This feels more like a drama than a Superhero action show.

1. the people who care will come, you just have to wait.

2. Yes I do agree with you about Jimmy Olsen being very different from his comic counterpart. The weirdest thing about it is that supergirl love interest seems more like Jimmy Olsen like him then the actual Jimmy Olsen

but I'm willing to give the show a shot it doesn't seem that bad.

If nothing else, I take comfort in the fact that this will almost certainly be far better than the Supergirl movie was.

i don't like the fabric on her costume it some weird neoprene or something. and yeah im that guy. Jimmy Olsen in the comics/movies/shows = short, weak, ginger teenager, basically a walking joke/victim of Lex Luthor. Jimmy Olsen in this = 6ft black, rather confident, possibly a love interest/plot device. Seriously just pick John Stewart before he becomes green lantern.

ill probably watch it when Netflix picks up the whole first season.

The first half of the trailer was criminally boring. I had to force myself to sit through it to get to the good stuff. I'm fairly convinced that I'm going to have to sit through boring shit to get to the good stuff in the actual show now too. Possibly one of the worst trailers I've ever seen for that reason. I'll be giving this one a pass I guess.

Yeap. Someone dedicated enough can create a romcom/dramedy movie trailer from that awful six minutes without even changing the music. Plus that preachy part about the Supergirl name made me cringe so hard that I almost shattered my spine.

First of all.

Second of all, is this a show or a movie? I honestly can't tell, but it looks like the former.

Finally, one of the few things Man of Steel did well was showing how Superman saw the world, I.E., sensory overload. It doesn't look like they'll follow up with this, which is sad. All in all, simmering at a 4/10 on the quality prediction meter.

Also seriously? "You wanna help? Go back to getting someone's coffee." And then sad music. I love it!

I don't know much about Supergirl, mostly because she seemed like a lame cash-in on Superman to me (plus it killed the whole "he's the last of his kind" idea, which I always thought was important to his character). But anyway, a few things:

1: Isn't Jimmy Olsen supposed to be this short little nerdy guy? Why did they transform him into "6'2 suave, sexy dude"?

2: How can she have a sister? Did she get adopted by a family just like Superman, except they already had another kid?

3: So apparently Toyman will be Supergirl's next door neighbor in this show. I'm taking bets right now that he's going to be romantically interested in her, she rejects him, and then he becomes evil. Bets start at $20.

I'm lukewarm about this, the first time a Supergirl movie was done it was also seriously mishandled. I'm not confident, and this probably won't work as a TV series. Supergirl hasn't really been fleshed out a lot as a character, even in the comics, so they don't really have a character to base this one off.

Not all versions of Toyman are evil. Just look at Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.

I dunno, I don't watch Arrow or Flash (Black Canary is my favorite female superhero and Wally West is my favorite overall, and I don't think either show is doing them justice from I've read about them). One thing that irks me is the way they pronounce her name, "car-uh" instead of "care-uh" like I've always heard it. Seems weird but maybe they're trying to go for a more Kryptonian sound...? Whatever. I probably won't watch it, just like the other two shows, but I have always liked Supergirl and it's nice to see her not be an angsty teenage girl with anger issues like she has been in the comics (angsty teenager super-person with anger issues is traditionally Superboy's territory, although now in the comics it seems like it's EVERY member of the super-family, which is so lame).

The super hero stuff looked good, the chick flick shit was... well shit.
I may wait for someone to compose the series into hero only parts, because I imagine they will predominantly stick to the horrid cheap "omg, look at her deal with moronic turmoil and relationships shit".

Well it can't be worse then Man of Steel. At least it has color. I'm kinda lukewarm about it looks good, but when people open there mouth it comes across as silly.
