No, they shouldn't pose nude. Why don't you go look up some porn or something? I am sure, if you try hard enough, you can find artwork of any girl or guy that has ever been in a videogame, ever, naked.
Rule 34, bitches.
granted, it's kind of a stupid question, but i think you might possibly have some hair-trigger homicidal tendencies...

Damn it, I clicked on the thread with nudity in the title XD

but unless you have some kind of over-complicated deluded fantasy relationship with your cartoon girlfriend, porn is NOT about replacing real relationships, it's about having fast and easy orgasms.
I think you got the point of the adult industry. Porn is about giving someone their fantasies. Expect superheroines to appear eventually.

In the spirit of the opening post: they could, but should they?
I think they do. There's demand, they can supply. This seems like a win-win situation.
If you think fictional characters (and to an extend adult photo models too) set a bad expectation of female anatomy, I agree. I'd also like to say that you are not only an adult, but you've also grown up. You don't need superheroines for your fantasies.
But just because we've grown over it, we shouldn't deny it to those wo do want it.

Sure why not? It's not like it matters whether or not they do. They're fictional characters. Besides, even if they don't you can still find plenty of nude pictures of them on the Internet.
Pretty much this, doesn't seem so wrong to me. Granted it's odd but it really doesn't faze me now.

I...just....ye-....n-....uhhh...

Honestly I have no idea for once. I really don't get it. I don't think it really matters at all...I honestly think this topic is more pointless than spam.

I guess it wouldn't hurt anything if it did and while the positive effects of it not existing are insignificant at best, they really do outweigh the near nonexistent negative effects...so why not? I guess...I'm not saying I want to see it, if anything I don't but its not like it would really hurt anything so sure.

First I thought you were talking about very drug abusing women. Hence superheroines. Should have been renamed to superheroette or something.

And second. No. Not playboy. Playboy is a magazine about somewhat okay articles and real women.
But I mean. There's hentai and all that stuff, right? If they're able to not fuck up everything about that game, then sure. Make some magazine. A gamer chick version of playboy. I don't see the harm. people'll flame it, and people'll love it. Same as pretty much all other kinds of porn

It's really upto the copyright holders of the characters whether they want to be part of the adult entertainment industry.

my thought is that the major players, Marvel, DC, etc. would never even consider it.

Will Playboy make their own super heroines? That might be fun actually. I could get on board with that.

But I doubt you'll see Wonder Woman on the cover of Playboy anytime soon.

This will also hurt the industry. Both adult and video game/comic industry. Sure it will spike at first because you have to see it to believe it. However to create female video game characters just to appear in Playboy will be a goal of some developers. This will make them focus more on appearance and not the actual quality of the video game. Imagine a game that was so focused on creating an archtype of this "perfect" female character that the game has no plot or story or good gameplay. I don't know about you but while that character may make playboy model of the year her game will still be horrible.
Video game characters have already appeared nude in playboy, there have been at least 3 video game girl specials so far.

That aside.

Characters are already created in a pandering way, that's just the way it is. There's a reason the Hulk is a huge brute and She-Hulk has a slim figure. Yes, it will hurt the comic book industry, but it will be because it will confirm the perversion that many suspect comic-book lovers harbor. This is also the reason why the big influential companies would never allow something like this. It would hurt their reputation and generate a lashback from parents which they really don't need.

Besides, there's loads of x-rated stuff in comics out there already. And I'm not talking in the flirting way of Gen13 or Witchblade (eh, Necroswansong, I'll even up you two more, Avengelyne and Razor). I'm talking full on nudity. In Holland you can find some stuff in general bookstores, just crack out an image search for Rooie Oortjes (you don't even need to disable the adult lock). Hentai is not limited to (nor did it begin in) Japan. There are little smut comicbooks from the thirties and forties around, which are highly collectible btw.

In video games this kind of stuff would get you an AO rating and you would be unable to publish. There's no such rule in comic books, certain stores just won't stock your books or only sell them on demand and not put them on display.

Personally, from a *ahem* practical standpoint, they might as well. Spend five minutes looking up superheroine porn and...well, they ain't hurtin' for material there.

Some tasteful spreads of superheroines I think would be a nice change of pace, help spread geek acceptance in a popular forum, and maybe help more people to stop hiding their "shameful habits" (/sarcasmquotes). IMO, anything that helps people lighten up a little about sex is a good thing.

I'm a bit curious as to where the appeal lies.

Wonderwoman is recognized by her outfit. Remove the outfit and you just have another brunette.

If that's what you're after, then you already have that in Playboy. (I think)

Anyway, sure, go ahead. I couldn't care less. I don't see why they should, and at the same time I don't see why they shouldn't.

Generally a bad idea:

EDIT:
Amend that...it would be entirely appropriate for Wonder Woman to appear in an adult magazine, though not necessarily Playboy, but rather a more...specialized title.

sorry if im popping ur bubble but... THEY DONT EXIST *creepy music*
Though not really a super herione but just a heroine, i think brad pitt will be sad if he was told he couldn't bang lara croft (aka angelina)
catwoman/storm(halle berry)and a lot of other superheriones who made it to the movies are very real as well, so theoreticaly i could hit it of with them, even though the chances of that happening is extremely slim to definitly none

Otherwise, you could just print out a copy of your favorite heroine, make a fitting hole in the paper and do your thing

I got a question: Who cares?

I mean honestly, they are fake cartoon/comic/video game characters.
They don't exist, so I fail to see the lure of seeing them nude.

Unless, of course, you're shamefully desperate enough to fawn over non-existent breasts (Which would totally be untouchable by you if they DID exist).
Hmmm? You think the photo-shopped-to-buggeration-beauties that regularly grace those mags are as "real" as they look? Even if they weren't photoshopped they would still be ink and paper.

The idea of the female is what is erotic.

This lady..
..is very obviously female.

All it takes is a little imagination to turn that paper into warm and supple skin...

hahaha, wow, way to take a point

make it

and then back up and look at it

nod, and turn away

and leave me dumbfounded as to how I didn't think of it first.

Oh CT.
I wouldn't say she is obviously female! She's green! I don't know too many green women!
And I never said I pine after the women in magazines either.
I don't, for pretty similar reasons. I never understood the appeal.

And, for the record, I prefer real warm and supple skin. I like using my imagination for writing, and doodling, and playing pen and paper RPGs. Erotic fantasy? I'll stick to my beautiful wife.

Sorry Tomato, I still don't get the appeal.
