3. How often do you play videogames? All the time. With friends, alone, doesn't matter. If it's recreation time, I'm probably gaming.

4. What genres? Pretty much all of them outside of racing and sports games. I love shooters. I love action games. My all time favorite are horror games (real horror, not action games with ugly bad guys. See Amnesia: The Dark Descent).

5. Have games ever made you angry when playing them? Occasionally I will get frustrated or worked up at a game. If its single player I just keep on trying. If its multiplayer I usually pick up on my frustration and quit because I play worse when mad. Only once have I ever really raged over a game (MW2) and I ended up breaking a controller. I was so ashamed at myself that I've become significantly better at controlling myself and overall I've become a less angry person in general, gaming or not.

6. Have games ever made you physically violent when playing them? As stated above, yes, accidentally broke a controller.

7. Have games ever made you angry when not playing them? Can't say they have really.

8. Have games ever made you physically violent when not playing them? Not as far as I'm aware.

9. How often do you engage in violent behavior? Essentially never. I got in one fight my freshman year of high school. That's pretty much it.

what would you define as violent behavior? is ice hockey your definition of violent? because i play ice hockey. what about wrestling with your cousins? is that violent?

Wanting to cause something/someone physical harm. Play wrestling or light competition isn't violent, unless your intending to seriously hurt them.

You're more than welcome, out of curiousity what is the class that this is for?

A generic freshmen year course at college, for the project we have to confirm or debunk a social myth and my group chose "Do videogames cause violence?" One of the points we're trying to make is that they do cause temporary anger, which is one of he reasons why they have a bad stigma, but do not cause gamers to become violent.

only one game has made me break a controller in frustration, but that was 8 years ago. I've since stopped playing games of that genre.

I'm not a violent person now. I do swear a lot though. I think it is a significant component of my not being physically violent. Gotta vent somehow.
