I researched this as an undergrad. The best predictors of violent behavior have to do with socio-economic status, relationship to parents, and peer groups. Its an interesting thing to study. Enjoy.

1. Age: 20

2. Gender: Male

3. How often do you play videogames?

As often as possible, which generally boils down to two or three short sessions a week -- maybe five hours a week in total. College is not conducive to gaming. Even when I'm not taking classes, I don't spend too much time playing -- maybe 10 hours a week, if I have absolutely nothing important to do.

4. What genres?

Mostly FPS, but I also play RPGs, platformers, flight sims, and basically whatever else catches my fancy. The only genre I really don't like is RTS, but I happen to love TBS games, and if I were to play an RTS that fixed the problems that I've had with the genre since playing Warcraft II, I would probably reconsider my stance on that genre as well.

5. Have games ever made you angry when playing them? (ex. Rage quit, swearing)

Only once, while playing I Wanna Be the Guy. I couldn't get past the third screen, and it was frustrating enough that I wound up quitting, because at that point I obviously wasn't enjoying myself.

6. Have games ever made you physically violent when playing them? (ex. harming the controller)

No, never. As a matter of fact, it always annoys me when I see people throwing their controllers because they aren't doing well at a game. Those suckers are expensive, not to mention fragile.

7. Have games ever made you angry when not playing them? (ex. thinking about them affected your actions)

No, and I'd be surprised if that was true of anyone.

8. Have games ever made you physically violent when not playing them? (ex. thinking of them affected your actions)

No, and I'd be shocked if this was true of anyone, unless we're talking about, say, a person robbing a game shop because the inventory was valuable.

9. How often do you engage in violent behavior?

For all intents and purposes, never. I'm not exactly a pacifist, but I managed to make it through school without getting in a single fight; I'm not a violent person.

1. Age:
15

2. Gender:
Male

3. How often do you play videogames?
Several hours, only over weekends.

4. What genres?
fps, rpg, sandbox, and most everything else.

5. Have games ever made you angry when playing them? (ex. Rage quit, swearing)
Very often, and very much so. (MW2)

6. Have games ever made you physically violent when playing them? (ex. harming the controller)
Nope.

7. Have games ever made you angry when not playing them? (ex. thinking about them affected your actions)
They (as in MW2) do make me more morose afterwards, but it doesn't really affect my decision making.

8. Have games ever made you physically violent when not playing them? (ex. thinking of them affected your actions)
Not at all.

9. How often do you engage in violent behavior?
Never. I'm a very mellow person, although you would think the opposite if you only ever saw me playing games. In the game, I'm a sadistic psycho, although I do let people live If it will be fortuitous for me.

Fallout: New Vegas:
I was very happy when I found out that the Silver Rush leaves all their weapons on display for me to carry off to a dark corner and steal. They were also polite enough to leave all their personal ammo and weapons behind locked doors that I could pick.
