Hi fellow gamers, my name is Chris Jones! I am a Dutch student and I am currently doing research about the release of video games. Do you want to share your thoughts on this? Then fill in this questionnaire at the following link: http://goo.gl/forms/nQteQAodOd

I would really appreciate it if you help me out! The questionnaire won't take longer than 5 minutes.

Thanks in advance.

Just a few pointers:

Question 1: How much are you willing to pay for a video game?

--You probably want to make this as specific as possible or at least put it later. What platform are you talking about? PC? Mobile? Console? And what condition? New I'm sure. Everyone has different price points for different games on different platforms in differing conditions (new, used).

"Through which Social Network Site do you want to receive information about a game that is not released yet?"
--I would add a 'none' option because I really don't depend on social media to learn about games.

Done.

It's a little vague in places; one question asked how important I felt it was to know "the possibilities" in a new game, and I don't really know what that meant. The question about how much I'm willing to spend was also quite unspecific: I put $50+, but I'd only be willing to spend that on certain games, it wouldn't be common.

I also had a bit of an issue with the $50 question. Most games are $60 new, and I'm willing to pay that for select games, but I absolutely would not spend more than that for a game. Something like "$50-60 dollars" and "More than $60" options would be more informative.

As others have said, the money question is flawed.

There are a (very)few games I'd buy at launch for $50. Most AAA releases I'm content to wait until they drop to $30 or less(unless if your name is Ubisoft, then $20 is my price limit). If the game is an indie game that lasts for all of 3 hours, you're looking at more of a $10 price limit there.

I'm not really sure the first question adequately captured my thoughts. I'm willing to pay more than $50 on a game, but that is very, very rare. I did with BioShock Infinite last year, but I haven't done it since, and I had taken a three year break before putting that much down on Infinite. Normally, I'm not willing to spend more than $40, but technically, I am willing to spend more on games I really want, which are few and far between.

There you go, filled it out. The phrasing of the questions were a bit odd. You focused in on some specific things (like maps, and story) but didn't talk about how the game feels (how the mechanics work, how it plays).

There, made the questionare.
Good luck with it and hope you'll be staying here for longer than just asking for help with a quiz.
